Chapter 2

Adrien thought about what he had just said.What would his mother think?Emilie said nothing.
"You probably don't know her,she's the daughter of the best baker in Paris,Tom Dupain," explained Adrien
"I still don't have a clue who you're talking about," laughed Emilie, "You'll have to introduce me to her one day."
"Of course i will mother!" said the young boy, "Ill just need to find out how to-" He was interrupted by an opening door.
"How to what,Adrien?"asked Gabriel.He didn't like the thought of Adrien having a girlfriend.
"Uhhh,get her to see mom!" lied Adrien.
Gabriel groaned in suspicion.
"You have a fencing lesson,don't be late"
"I'll leave you to get ready," said Gabriel's wife.They both left the room,leaving Adrien by himself

Back at the Dupain-Cheng bakery,Marinette was worried sick,and still in shock over what she had been told from her secret lover.
"Why would Gabriel Agreste do this?" she thought. "Just for some fun?"
"Marinette,could you come here please!" shouted Sabine Dupain
"Yeah mom,coming!" yelled back Marinette.She ran downstairs into the living room of her bakery.

"What's up?" asked Marinette
"We overheard what Adrien was saying over the phone,and we don't believe it's true,we don't want you to be talking to a liar," stated Tom
"W-What?But hes not a liar dad!"
"Gabriel Agreste couldn't possibly be Shadowmoth,Marinette,"said Sabine
"But he is!Gabriel confirmed it himself,I cant just not talk to him,he needs support!"
"He doesn't need support if his dad isn't Shadowmoth,"
"And his dad is Shadowmoth!What else could i do to prove it?"
The parents of Marinette Dupain-Cheng thought,what else could she do to prove it?
