A/N: HAH fuck you writer's block

"Tell me why I can't at least finish my shift," You said, sitting on a couch in Ava's room, looking at the ceiling.

Ava's parents and all the daemos were in her room, with Ava on the bed, still knocked out. While Andrew was sitting next to her, stroking her cheek. Devon, on the other hand, was keeping an eye on the daemos and you. Mostly you.

"Keep staring and you'll burn holes through me, Devon..." You said.

Andrew tried to ignore the staredown happening and turned to Ava. "Ava, It'll be very well appreciated if you explain to us about a few things." He said, booping Ava, trying to wake her up.

2 more boops.

"Is Noi your boyfriend?" Andrew continued, despite Ava not moving. "Why are these boys taking an interest in you? If you want, we can ask you to leave them alone!"

You sighed. "You know what, I'm just gonna-" You stood up, about to go to the door before realizing Devon was right there. "...stay right here in this extremely comfy chair..." You said, sitting back down and slumping, before cursing under your breath.

"D-do you guys want the truth?" Ava said, finally sitting up.

"Ava, all we want to do is just help you," Devon said, almost pleading in a way.

"They're...just madly in love with me! And happen to be my...friends!" Ava said.

"Liiiiies..." You mouthed, so no one could hear.

"I mean we can clearly see that they are madly in love with you," Devon said.

You snorted. "I mean yeah that part is pretty obvious-"

"You don't want to hurt their feelings, we understand!" Andrew said, ignoring your comment.

"...huh?" Ava said, clearly not expecting the situation to turn this way.

Devon shrugged. "We were young once too Ava, we've been there before."

"Ok, if this is going to the classic moment where you two share about your love stories in high school, I'll excuse myself out thank you very much. "And no, I won't leave the apartment, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me so you can just holler out my name along with a string of curses if you wish."

--

"God, that was so fucking awkward..." You cursed, sliding down while leaning against the door. Bringing your knees up into a sitting position. "This day was already bad, can it get any worse for fuck's sake..." You dropped your head down.

"HUMANNNN!!!!" You heard Asch yell.

"Aaaand, of course, this day can get worse, who am I kidding..." You said, before lifting your head. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT ASCH!!"

Rhys popped his head out from the Crayola space. "Prince Asch just wants to discuss Ava's parents with you."

You raised an eyebrow. "Why me?"

"Well you seemed to have some history with Princess Ava, so we thought that you might be the best option," Rhys said, fully coming out of the portal.

You let your head droop again. "Tell him I'm not really in the mood today...I can talk with him later..."

"Well, you see he's-" Rhys started. Before being interrupted by a-

"HUMANNNNNNNNN!!!!!" Asch yelled again.

"He's...relentless..." Rhys finished.

You sighed. "Yeah yeah, just...give me a minute I'll be there.

Rhys flashed a worried look before nodding and heading back.

You sat still until gradually lifting yourself and walked into the daemos's other part of the house.

"What do you want from me..." You said, clearly not in the mood.

"What do you know about Princess Ava's parents?" Asch said, surprisingly not yelling.

"Princess? Seriously, you too?" You sighed. "Well, to answer your question, I do not know them to a personal level. We just have some...history I guess you can put it."

"Do you know how powerful they are?" Asch asked.

"Power-oh. Uh...not...really." You said, running a hand through your hair.

"Well, this was useless," Asch mumbled, before walking away.

You rolled your eyes and turned to walk out.

--

"Helloo....you alive? HELLOOOO??!!" Ava yelled, snapping you back to reality.

"Hm? Wa? Oh." You perked up, realizing you fell asleep while waiting for your coffee to finish brewing.

"You've been sitting here and sleeping for a while. And you still tell me that you don't need to fix your sleeping schedule." Ava said, crossing her arms.

You sighed and stood up. "Because I don't. I function perfectly fine, thank you very much."

"Alright let's pretend that you are then."

You shrugged. "Isn't that what we always do..." You mumbled, taking your coffee cup. Till you saw Ava's parents in the corner of her eye. "Coffee?" You asked, groggily, lifting your cup a bit.

"N-no thank you," Andrew said, clearly uncomfortable.

"Also, didn't you say you had something to talk about?" You asked, tilting your head.

"Oh right. Ava, will you excuse us for a bit?" Andrew asked, turning to Ava.

Ava nodded. "I'll just go ahead and try to calm Asch down." She said, before walking out of view.

"Now," Devon said, as Ava disappeared into the hallway. "We have a few questions to ask you."
