I laughed as soon as I saw all the food on the table. "I told you I'll keep my mouth shut."

"Ya! You just said you'll shut up! Good thing byul's not here. You know how quick she is when it comes to these things." Lisa whines, chugging a bottle of water

"Ya think she won't get suspicious with you giving us all these food?" I motioned to the feast infront of me as I grabbed a garlic bread and sat next to her.

"Touché." Shaking my head, I looked around for her boyfriend but he's nowhere in sight.

"Where's your loverboy?"

"Junghwan has a game today."

"And why aren't you there? Aren't you close with his brother?" I raised a brow at her as I finish my bread, dusting off the crumbs from my fingertips

"I'll go once I'm done here cause If it's the other way around, me bringing the food here after going there, all that's left would be the containers." I chuckled. Those kids sure has some appetite.

"Need a lift?" She's still banned from driving and since jungkook's not here I'm assuming she needs a ride.

She squints her eyes at me "what's the catch?"

I scoffed, hopping off from the stool "ya! You make it sound like I've never been a good friend."

"Welll" she pretends to think and laughed, dodging the water I was gonna throw at her.

"See!" She points at the glass of water in holding.

"What? I'm just gonna take a drink." I did drink and we both laughed. Ok, maybe I'm not that of an exemplary friend.

"Wait there, I'll just wash my face and change." I left her in the living room, going back to my room to brush my teeth and get changed.

"How's it going with your cop?" I fought a groan knowing if I did, she'd go all snooping on me so I played it off like my usual self

"So-so." nonchalantly glancing on my side mirror, just to avoid her prying gaze.

"What do you think of him so far?"

"Me? Thinking about him? psh no way!" my brows creased when she snickered. I would've glared at her if I wasn't busy focusing on the road.

"Hyejin, I'm asking what you think of him, not if you're thinking about him." I could feel her eye roll. Don't ask how.

"What's the difference?" aish! why did I have to be so defensive?

"Bitch you better stop skipping classes or you'll be demoted to elementary." she snorts

"School doesn't work that way hun."

"Thankfully huh?"

"Want to see a woman getting tossed out of a car in between heavy traffic?" I warned and she just laughs out loud, making me laugh too.

"Thanks for the ride! Don't think too much of your cop, you might cause an accident. But oh wait, maybe you'd do that on purpose so you can see him?" Look at this girl, I gave her a free ride!

"That would be 50,000 won" I reached out an open palm at her and she sticks her tongue out, running inside the school, making me raise my middle finger at her direction.

"Bitch." I chuckled and went on my way... but then realized, I had nowhere to go. School? What school? Is that another term for prison? ooh prison, that's where I should go! Figuratively speaking. So I changed lanes and hummed on my way, already grinning from ear to ear since I could already picture his annoyed face at me and hear his lecture.

Or not. He was out in a raid or something like that, I wanted to ask more but decided against it. I doubt they'll tell me anyway with all the confidentiality and what-not.

I drove aimlessly instead and blasted off my stereo, having mini carpool karaoke to myself when I spotted seung-ryong ajusshi.

"Ajusshi!" I rolled down my window and beeped my car as I slowly came to a stop. He saw me and waved enthusiastically. I gestured him to come over and he came running.

"Need a ride? Come on up." I unlocked my car and he got in.

"Thank you Hyejin! So-won left her lunch" he raised the packed lunch he's holding.

"You're welcome, excuse me for a while." I unbuckled my seatbelt so I can buckle his. I may be a reckless driver sometimes but I always make sure safety first... if I have important passengers atleast.

"You good?" He nods and I smiled, buckling myself back up and drove to so-won's school.

"I don't know where so lead the way ok?"

"Uhm!" It was only a fifteen-minute drive. I got out of the car first and went around to open the door for seung-ryong ajusshi.

"Omo!" I forgot to unbuckle his seatbelt so boomeranged back to the seat.

"Sorry about that. Are you fine? Did it hurt?"

"Ani. Mian, I will remember how to do that hyejin. I'm good at remembering!" I chuckled

"I'm sure you do, here, hold my hand." I offered my hand to help him get out of the car and took the packed lunch from his hand so he won't struggle.

"Gomawo hyejin" he bows to repeatedly .

"Appa!" We both turned to see so-won walking out of the gate and running towards us

"Oh unnie!" She finally saw me as she got near

"Annyeong so-won ah" I held out the lunchbox to her "I was on my way to school when I saw ajusshi and gave him a ride."

So-won smiled and took the lunchbox and hugged her father on the side. "Gomawo unnie. I was about to go home cause I forgot my lunch."

"Why? Don't you have friends to share their lunch with?" She sheepishly smiled at me "I may or may not also wanted to go out."

I looked at her school gate and back then smirked "since you were given permission to go out anyway, want to eat out for lunch?" He eyes sparkled with glee as she nods.

"Hop in then." I rounded to the driver's seat and got on. I waited for the father and daughter to settle and looked at them through the rearview mirror.

"Hyejin! I did it! See? I remember." I looked over and gave a thumbs up to seung-ryong ajusshi "good job ajusshi!" He was able to buckle not only his but so-won's seatbelt as well.

"Ready to go?"

"Yes!" So-won exclaimed happily and I swiflty backed my car. I'm such a role model I know.
