A/N: These characters are orginally off of one of katnip2019 oneshots. So, This was specially requested :)

Simple context: Maple uses a purple bow to express their gender to their partner, Azul. When Maple has their bow on their ear, They feel more feminine. If the bow is on their neck like a bowtie, They feel gender neutral/genderqueer/etc. And if the bow is on Maple's tail, They feel more masculine.

To sum it up:

Ear - She/her pronouns

Neck - They/them pronouns

Tail - He/him pronouns

2nd A/N: Due to my non experience with gender fluid people, Please correct my mistakes if it makes you uncomfortable. And I apologize if I get info wrong in this oneshot as well.

♤ Maple's POV ♤

I opened my light brown eyes. I felt my purple bow on my right ear. I untied the bow and tied it back around my neck.

I picked myself up and stretched. I breathed in the fresh, spring morning breeze. It smelled amazing. A smile creeped along my face. I allowed the breeze to flow around my body, Almost as if it was grabbing me and allowing me to flow with it.

' A shower sounds nice this morning ', I thought as I grabbed a soft, white towel from the shelf.

♡ Azul's POV ♡

My dark pink eyes blinked as I woke up. I yawned, bearing my small sharp teeth while doing so.

My ribbon feelers searched for my partner but found nothing.

I opened my eyes once again and looked over to where my lover was sleeping. To my disappointment, They weren't sleeping next to me.

I sighed as I got myself out of bed. I shook my limbs. I heard my bones pop which was good sign. Means I slept well.

I padded around the house trying to spot Maple. But I didn't find them until I noticed steam coming from under the bathroom door.

I smiled as an idea appeared in my head.

♤ Maple's POV ♤

I happily breathed in the warm, soft steam as it filled my nose as I dried myself with the towel.

I padded around the sink for my bow and held it with my paws. I lightly tied it around the bottom of my tail.

I toss the dirty towel into the bathroom laundry basket as I open the door.

My eyes widened by my husband's sudden surprise.

It was freshly cooked breakfast. It smells so good.
" What is this for? ", I playfully chuckled.
" Cause I love you ", He cooed back at me.
" But I love you more ", I smirked.
Azul put his paw on his chest and gasped, " No. I love youuu more. " he protested.

We fought for a minute before he won.

I smiled at him as he brushed himself against me with his soft fur.
" You're the best husband ever ", He stated.
" No, you are ", I protested.
He playfully gasped again.

Here we go again.

Dang, I love this man.
