Chapter 5 - The Wedding

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that there is a time skip of 5 weeks in between this chapter and the last one. - ALCB

Moon was so excited. Th wedding was finally happening!!! She was wearing a dress of mint green clasped with a moonstone pin. It faded into a pretty forest green as it reached the beginning of her tail. Her horns were covered with flowers and a crown of white roses. Kinkajou was a pretty gold and a less eyeball-scorching pink than normal. She wore a white dress. "You're going to be a great Maid of Honor." Moon told her. " I'm so happy for you!!" She had cried. Moon had hugged her friend. Turtle had been chosen as Qibli's best dragon. They had invited Winter but he didn't want to come. The wedding was happening in a beautiful white gazebo with pretty pink roses everywhere. There were even pink climbing roses on the pillars.

As Moon walked down the aisle past their family and friends, she kept her eyes on Qibli never looking away. With the light fluttery feeling in her chest, she knew this was what she wanted. she was almost to the platform, when a cold shadow suddenly descended onto her.

"Hello.", said Winter. "Winter!", she yelped, "I wasn't expecting you and I didn't make a cupcake for you" "I didn't come here for a cupcake" he said. "Well than what do you want" "I-I came to ask you one last time to change your mind. Please Moon choose me!" he cried. "I'm sorry Winter" she said shaking her head, "But I can't do that. Get back with Lynx, she still loves you and I know you still love her." "If that's what you want." He said his eyes growing angry, tears running down his cheeks as he took off.

After this she turned back to Qibli and finished her short walk up the aisle to the platform. She looked into Qibli's eyes and knew that she had made the right decision. As Queen Thorn slid a simple gold band onto each of their claws, they both smiled at each other. As the Queen backed away they both leaned in and kissed. It was longer than their first one in the rainforest, but all the much sweeter because of it.

When they pulled away she felt as though she could fly past a million suns. they turned towards the crowd. Cheers came from every corner of the audience. Moon never been so happy in her life! she didn't know what the next step might be but she knew that her and Qibli would be taking it together.
