Friday rolled around fast. Chloe was getting ready when Maze arrived at the house. Chloe yelled a greeting before going back to her makeup. It was fun getting to dress up, rarely did she get to let her hair down. Even rarer was getting to wear her favorite maroon dress.

She walked out and saw that Maze and Trixie were on the couch together. They both looked up at Chloe, and were seemingly impressed.

"Wow, you can clean up nice."
"Yeah mom, you look hot."

Chloe scrunched up her face before answering.

"Uh, thank you, but monkey, don't call me hot."

Lucifer walked out in a black suit. His eyes found chloe and he stopped moving. Trixie's eyes moved between the two and she smiled. Maze rolled her eyes.

"Detective, you look, well I don't think there's a word to describe you right now."

Chloe flushed pink. Trixie's grin spread even wider. Lucifer walked over to Chloe and kissed her softly, only then did Trixie's smile fade and she averted her eyes.

"Okay, you guys are cute, but I don't need to see kissing."

Chloe laughed looking at her daughter.

"Okay, Maze we should be home no later than midnight, Trixie is welcome to stay up until ten, but no later."
"I got it Decker, I've babysat for you before." Chloe nodded. "Trixie's right though, you do look hot."

L'Amour En Bouche was packed. The quaint restaurant was quite popular, but despite that Lucifer pulled some strings and got them a quieter table outside. Chloe was grateful for the fresh air, and in the dim outside lighting, Lucifer felt himself starring at her more and more. A waiter came a few minutes later.

"Bonjour, welcome to L'Amour En Bouche, may I start you with one of our best Merlots?"
"That would be great." Lucifer responded.

After the waiter walked away, Chloe looked to Lucifer.

"How'd you know I loved this restaurant?"
"Trixie told me."
"Why were you asking Trixie about my favorite restaurant?"
"I wanted to plan a special night for us."

Chloe smiled. Dinner went off without a hitch, Lucifer had shrimp with a side of salad, and Chloe had salmon with a side of cooked carrots. Throughout the night Lucifer had been subconsciously tapping his pocket to keep track of the ring. Their waiter came back a little later.

"And how was everything tonight?"
"Wonderful." Chloe said.
"Great. Would you like to order dessert?"
"Uh-" Chloe started before Lucifer cut in.
"Actually, if we could have like five to ten minutes, that'd be great."
"Of course."

The waiter walked away and Chloe looked at Lucifer with a weird face.

"What was that for?"
"I love you, you know that."
"Yeah, what's going on?"

He reached out and grabbed her hand.

"I've been thinking, and I know that the past five years have easily been the best years of my life." Chloe looked worried, "I think back constantly to when we met, and everyday I'm grateful fo how you've changed me and how I've grown." Chloe's face eased into a smile. "I think to myself 'how'd I get so lucky?', because, let's be honest, you loving me was luck and I wouldn't trade it for anything. You are so amazing and perfect in every way, and you just constantly amaze me in all you do. So,"

Lucifer walked over and knelt before Chloe. She gasped quietly, and tears pricked at her eyes. Lucifer pulled out the ring and looked at her eyes.

"Chloe Jane Decker, the love of my life, my detective, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me? Be my partner in crime? My goddess?"

The words hit Chloe like a truck. Tears flowed from her eyes, and a light laughter escaped her lips.

"Yes, yeah. Always."

Lucifer put the ring in her finger, and then she leaned down to kiss him. Clapping ensued, though lightly, and Chloe blushed.

"Oh right, we're still in public."
"Sorry, Detective, I probably should have done it somewhere more private."
"No, no. It was perfect."

They got home around eleven thirty. Upon entering, Maze greeted them.

"Did you say yes?"
"Excuse me?"
"Come on Decker, the dress, your favorite restaurant? You're telling me your first thought wasn't 'proposal'?"
"No." Her no was dragged out.
"Weird."

With that Maze left. After the door shut, Trixie bounded out of her room.

"Monkey, what are you doing? You should be asleep."
"Maybe, but I was excited. Let me see it!"
"You knew? Oh that's why you told me it would- yeah okay."
"I helped him plan it. Let me see it!"

Chloe held out her hand and Trixie grinned, then she looked at Lucifer.

"Told you she'd say yes."
"Always." He replied.
