Thirteen

"And this is where the new Kingsglaive building will be." I said as I walked towards the plot of land, stepping into the dirt and envisioning the building now.

"How did Insomnia pay for all this?!" Pelna asked, making me turn and grin.

"They didn't, I did!" I beamed and saw they were appalled, but I turned back to the plot and let out a breath.

"You're paying to rebuild this entire district?! How rich are you?!" Libertus asked and I smiled as I turned, going towards them.

"My mother left me her entire fortune in her will, as she hadn't had a chance to change it before dying, so I earned billions when I was only thirteen. Since then, I've saved my money because my father bought me everything. Well, my father and the council." I grinned and shrugged.

"I'm richer than my father and the entire kingdom." I said and left the dirt plot, Nyx holding my hand so I didn't fall.

"Hello, Atalie!" I waved to the kids going past and smiled.

"Let me show you my favorite part!" I beamed and walked towards the high school, which was directly next door.

"This is-"

"Where the old factory was. We gutted the entire building and changed it to the high school, the new one at least." I said as I walked in, everyone waving as I walked down the halls.

"How-" Crowe breathed, tears in her eyes.

"What happened to the old school?" Pelna asked and I sighed.

"It had to be destroyed, new housing is being built there along with a market." I said and gave them the full tour.

"I think you'll like this the most, lady and gentlemen." I said and shoved open the doors to the training room.

"What is this?" Libertus asked and I smiled.

"The recruitment slash training room. I was going to use the plot next door to build a recruitment center for the Kingsglaive, but with that turning into the new headquarters, it's even better. This way, you guys can find willing and able body people to join you." I said and Nyx smiled at me.

"Do you ever stop?" He laughed, making me grin.

"No, I try to continue to amaze-"

"Princess Atalie." I turned to the dean of the school and smiled.

"How are you, Petunia?" I smiled and hugged her, making her laugh.

"I'm sorry, Miss Atalie!" She corrected and eyed the four behind me.

"Ah, these are the Kingsglaive I told you about! This is Libertus, Crowe, Pelna, and Captain Ulric." I said and Petunia beamed.

"We're happy you've returned safely! Miss Atalie has been doing so much for us since she stepped in for the king, it's a miracle!" She said and Nyx relayed the news about me being the representative.

"Oh, Astrals! That's amazing!" Petunia said and hugged me again.

"And I just have to say, the festival this year is the best we've had ever!" Petunia gushed to the Glaives, who gave me shocked yet happy expressions.

"It's a shame we missed it-"

"No, it's all week? You didn't miss anything." Petunia said and I blushed.

"Well, Petunia, I'm sure you're very busy!" I rushed and she giggled as she left.

"All week?" Libs smirked, making me glare.

"I-I did some research on the festival and discovered that, in some territories, the festival went on for the entire week before the hunt or even after the hunt." I said and Nyx nodded.

"Uh huh. And which countries did this?" He asked, making me smile.

"Galahd for one." I said and saw their faces change to that of love.

"Astrals, I know why he loves you now!" Crowe laughed and hugged me, making me smile.

"I'll ignore that comment if you tell me how the hell you got this scar." I said and Nyx looked grateful as Crowe began telling me the story as we continued the tour of the new and improved district.

"A rock? Seriously?" I laughed and she shrugged.

"Ooh, what's this?" She asked and I smiled as we got to the open market where the old school used to be.

"This is the new Cleigne Open Air Market. Each new area is named for one of the territories beyond the wall; there's the Leide High School, the Cleigne Market obviously, the Cavaugh Square. Oh, and there's the Duscae Elementary School, and of course the Ravatogh Middle School." I grinned as I led them through the market.

"Atalie! Here!" I turned and caught the apple, grinning as the stall owner waved.

"Thank you, Luca!" I said and bit into the apple.

"Everyone here loves you now." Pelna said and I nodded as I walked.

"I'm the only one who's actually worked to improve things here. Oh!" I exclaimed, which made them jump, but I beamed.

"I nearly forgot! Come with me!" I grabbed Nyx's hand and pulled him behind me.

"While you were gone, a bit of an accident happened and your building collapsed-"

"We all lived there!" Libs growled and I nodded.

"I know, but we rebuilt the entire thing and I personally found all of your belongings. I hope. Anything not claimed is sitting in my quarters at the Citadel, so yeah." I said and went down the road, stopping as we got to the building.

"Welcome to the Galahd Luxury Apartments!" I grinned and they looked at me with faces of pure shock, like they weren't sure what to think.

"I also might have rearranged your apartments a bit. I hope you don't mind. Here, your keys respectfully." I said and led them inside after giving them their keys. We went to Pelna's place first, since he was on the lowest floor, then Libertus', Crowe's, and finally Nyx's. His was on the top floor over looking the District, as he had once told me he wanted.

"This-this is my place?!" Nyx asked as we stood on the porch, which was open to the outside like many of the porches here.

"Yeah!" I grinned and he took the key, opening the door and stepping inside.
