*Lucas's point of view*

"Lucas? Earth to Lucas Scott. Oh come on, not again!"

"Huh? What?" I snapped out of my daydream as Peyton Sawyer walked by.

"You've really gotta stop doing that Luke."

"Doing what?" I tried to play innocent and pretend that I wasn't daydreaming about Peyton again.

"You know what I mean. If she catches you staring at her one more time she's gonna think that you're some kind of stalker, which you kind of are."

"Haley James, would you quit telling me what I already know? Anyways, I can't help it, she's so pretty."

She scoffed, "You're such a typical guy. You're just like all of the other chumps drooling over her. It's sad really. Just because she's a cheerleader with pretty hair doesn't mean that she's some kind of goddess. And you know...."

She prattled on and on for about five minutes before she realized that I wasn't listening.

"Do you ever listen to anything I say?" She asked clearly frustrated.

I shrugged, "Sometimes, mostly when you're not lecturing me," I put extra emphasis on that to make it clear that I was done talking about it for now. "Now can you please help me with the Geometry homework like you promised earlier?" I pouted my bottom lip slightly. Haley was in advanced math classes, along with every other subject offered at Tree Hill High. She was a sophomore taking a senior level math class. She planned on graduating early.

"Ugh, fine. Let me see it." I laughed, she fell for my pouty face every time.

While she was distracted with my homework, I snuck another look at Peyton. She was with her jerk boyfriend, Nathan Scott. Yep you read that right, his last name is Scott, just like mine. That's because he's my half-brother, but honestly I don't exist to him and he doesn't exist to me. We have the same jerk of a dad, Dan Scott. Basically the story is, he got my mom pregnant in high school and then left her and got Nathan's mom pregnant. He chose Nathan's mom and left my mom to raise me by herself. Nathan and I are only a couple months apart in age. But I'd rather not think about him right now. Back to Peyton.

Peyton was the girl of every guy's dreams. She was tall with long legs and had the prettiest blond, curly hair. She's the kind of girl that wanted everyone to believe that she wasn't different. She seemed like she just wanted to blend into the crowd sometimes, but she had some trouble with that. She was too different to blend in. I like to think that there was more to her then she let on. I guess I'll never know.
