the creatures

the beginning

It was a warm summer day when a girl decided to go for a walk. She told het mom she was leaving for a bit and walked out of the house. she lived in a very wooded area and once it started getting dark she knew she had to go home. It was 7pm when she left and it started getting dark at 8 so she went home after 30 minutes. Once she got home her mom ran up to her and asked if she was okay. She said "yes mom i'm ok, nothing happened". Her mom said "good thing you got home in time". the area was filled with creatures that no one is aloud to get close to.

these creatures are like no toher ones. some are tall and can blend in with trees while others are small and can melt into the ground. The girl who went on a walk well her name is Willow and her moms name is Ashlyn. Willow didn't have a father in her life because he left. Ashlyn and willows father Mark divorced when she found out he was cheating. Ashlyn didn't like to find this out in the middle of the night so she did what anyone in the area would do. She kicked him out and watched the creatures get ahold of him as he tried to get back in the house. He failed at getting back into the house because ashlyn locked the doors and windows.

Ashlyn was happy he was gone but when she "divorcied" him Willow was only 3. Ever since that night it was just willow and ashlyn. Willow walked up to her mom when she was 10 and asked "mom where did dad go?" she answered with a lie "honey your father went on a walk late at night and never came home". Willow had no chice but to belive her because she was her mother. Ashlyn decided to put willow in school because she had been homeschooled her whole life.

It was the beggining of the school year and Willow wasnt ready for school. Before the year started she had to decide if she wanted to keep her fathers last name (which was woodson) or her moms last name (which is trejo). Willow talked to her mom ashlyn and she told her "mom i have decided to keep your last name and not my fathers". She was headed to school the next day. As she walked towards the school from the bus she notices that the school was surounded with woods just like her house. At the beginning of the school day the announcements that started the day of school they said useful things.

The announcements said "due to having new students in our school we much go over all emergency protocol for anything that happens". This announcemnet scared willow and she took out her phone and texted her mom. The text said "mom they are talking about emergency protocol and they said something about the creatures, what are they talking about?". As she sent the text to her mom and the teacher yelled at her "WIILOW TREJO GET OFF YOUR PHONE AND PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS". Willow was embarrassed and she walked out of the room upset. She took all her stuff with her and left.

Ashlyn texted her back "honey its ok i know it's scary and i know its your first day in an actually school, don't worry i will come get you from school". Willow was happy to hear that and 10 minutes later she heard her name over the intercom. the princapal said "willow trejo please come to the front office". Willow walked out of the bahroom and went to the office. Ashlyn was there to get willow and was going to take her home. On the ride home her mom looked at her and said "i will just homeschool you again ok willow?". Willow responded "yes mom that would be better" and they went home.

Later that day ashlyn told willow that she met someone. Ashlyn yelled for willow to come downstairs "willow please come down here i need to tell you something!". Willow came down the stairs and walked into the living room. Ashlyn said to willow "honey i met a guy online and his name is Aaron and he lives in our town". Willow wasn't too happy to hear that there is gonna be someone else in the house. She wasn't going to be use to havning a 3rd person in the house and her mom knew that. Ashlyn said "i know we will both have to get use to it but it's worth a try honey".

The next day aaron came to their house. He seemed like a nice peson but willow didn't like him. Ashlyn noticed that willow didn't like him so she took her into another room and talked to her. She said "willow i know you don't like him but please give him a chance i swear he's nice" willow said "mom i really want to like him but he just doesn't make me feel safe and i dont like it". Willow and Ashlyn walked back into the room that Aaron was in. He stood up and said "hey girls i think i'm going to run out to the store real quick" ashlyn said "okay just be safe and be back before dark".

Aaron left for the store at 6:00pm. Willow stayed in her room for the night so she didn't have to talk to Aaron. Aaron came home from the store an hour later. As soon as he came into the house Ashlyn locked the doors and windows. Willow told her not to just incase but she did anyways. Willow snuck out of her room in the middle of the night. She was going to unlock the door until she heard her mom scream. Ashlyn was on her bed with Aaron when he switched into a creature.

Ashlyn jumped out of bed and yelled for willow to unlock the front door. Willow ran to the front door as her mom led "Aaron" outside of the house. Ashlyn spun around and ran back into the house before anything could happen. Ashlyn walked up to willow and saw she was crying. Willow saw her mom walking over to see her crying so she stopped crying. Ashlyn said "willow i wish i belived you and i'm sorry i didn't do that in first place". Willow told her mom "it's fine mom i'm jus glad you're okay".
