Prolouge

It all started in the summer of 2012. The blistering California heat was way too much for Fenny to handle. Her skin burned under the sun. She pulled her hat down more to cover her eyes from the sun. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't be out here in this heat. But the situation at home demanded that she come out. She walked along the beach in the afternoon sun being a quiet observer of the people around her. She like observing people. The things they did sometimes amused her. She watched as a tall dark handsome guy jumped up and caught a ball that was thrown to him. She smiled slightly at the look on his face when he had caught the ball. The other girls where cheering their friends or their boyfriends on. She walked on not minding the shouts of enjoyment of the teens that surrounded her. She went to the quiet spot on the beach which she had found about six months back. She spread out her towel and lay on it. Soon within minutes she was asleep.

Daddy! Can I climb on your back?

Of course you can sweetie !

He bent down and put me on his back. We walked around the store and picked up a few things my mom wanted us to buy to make dinner. We picked up so many things. Daddy said I could buy chocolates are well. So I got of his back and ran to the candy stand. I picked up as many chocolates that my little hands could carry and ran back to my daddy. But on the way I fell down and all the chocolates flew out of my hands. I sat on the floor and cried because my knee was in pain.

My daddy came running to me and picked me up. "Hush my love, no one is going to hurt you. Here let me clean that."

He took my now bleeding knee and softly wiped it with antiseptic. 

He put a princess bandage on my wound. He picked my up again and went out.

"My chocolates!" I cried out. Daddy laughed and told me that he'd bought some for me already. I smiled at him and gave him a kiss on his cheek.

"I love you daddy."

"I love you too baby girl."

Fenny felt someone shaking her awake. She slowly opened her eyes and shielded it from the sun.

She wanted to know who it was that had rudely awakened her. So she opened her eyes even more and saw a dark haired man with blue eyes. He asked her if she was Fenny and she had said yes.

The news he gave her next, left her speechless and in shock.

"I'm sorry, but your mother has passed away."
