She sat there by the window as she watched the gloomy day, dark clouds slowly gathering making it look like it'll rain any minute. She loved watching rain but not alone. She always used to spend rainy days with her little sister, they even used to play in the rain she loved rain with her whole heart because of her sister but now the rainy days she used to admire is nothing but a sweet memory filled with cherry laughter and giggles, she missed those days she missed the old her which is long gone. She only wished for a happy family was that too much to ask for?
[FLASHBACK 7 YEARS BACK] "Mumma! I think this is our seat," teen syra said to her mother in excitement as she was because she was getting to spend a vacation with her lovely family in Hawaii, as she suppose
"yes baby this is our seat" her mom confirmed back at syra. "Syra...darling you're gonna sit here with your dad alright? I will be seated there with your sister if you need anything ask help for your dad, yes?" "I'm old enough," syra said in her little offended tone "yeah sure my baby" her mom cooed which led syra to make a more offending pout "nevermind" syra sighed helplessly to her mom who still thinks she is a little infant who needs to take care off.
[30minuteslater] .."Are we there yet?" impatient syra questioned her dad "no darling we still have two hours left you can eat something or play video games till then alright?" her dad said in with soft voice as possible not to make little one sad since syra hate waiting "no I'll just keep writing" she smiled softly and got back to writing her diary
"Why don't you eat something aren't you hungry?"
"no, I've already eaten the pancakes mom made this morning. Uh I think I need to use wc"
"sure, you know where it is right?" "yeah," syra replied short and headed to do her work.
She heard some alarm going off as she dried her hands "what's happening" she asked herself creeping out by the sudden alarm and the uncommon halts of the plane she walked towards her seat finally after so much of stumbling and gripping other seats her father pulled her in an abrupt manner
"syra here wear your oxygen mask and put on this seatbelt and don't you remove it" she accepted in fright and creeping out not only by sudden halts but also her dad's terrifying actions.
That was all until she was in a period of oblivion, as much as she wanted to stay awake she couldn't she had those anxiety issues since she was ten. she roamed her eyes to caught glimpse of her father trying to keep her responsive, unfortunately, failed.
She wished that it was all a mere nightmare and she would wake up to her lovely family being in the hurry of starting the busy day while her mom makes pancakes for them, her fate was cruel to her to the point it destroyed her whole life.
[At funeral] ..Syra fixed her little black dress it was simple with her hair on loose, combed.
She headed off to the scene where her father and little sister was kept
--she stood there pale and quiet as people were paying their visit and telling her comforting words but she couldn't care less at this point because at times her parents needed them, people, the most they turned their back on them and stalled.
It was obvious for them to do this after all they were from those rich families whose main potential is money and fame and someone who wouldn't give a crap about Syria's middle-class family, yet not to get called as the exploiters as they are decided to pay a bogus visit, Syria's mother too did not pay more than a cent amount of attention to those people.
Talking about her, she was devastated seeing the only love of her life and her flower-like daughter in that ugly wooden coffin. It would be a lie if it didn't make her choke on her tears the more she saw it.
