So first things first, how did ya find the first meeting at Nana's?

It was givinggg okay? 😩 Thanks so much Nana for your hospitality! Make sure y'all go and follow her -nanasays (check her books out too ✨)

Now, we're obviously gonna need a new book for this month and since we're a little late, I think it's the perfect time to do a short and sweet, Hidden Gems Month.

Hidden Gems Month is something I will spring up on the book club every now and then, where we read a 5+ chapter book that is a real hidden gem. Tuh.

Originally I said 10 chapters and up but after speaking with some writers on here and doing some book-searching on my own, I understood that a lot of the hidden gems are short, new or have slow updates because of a lack of readership, so they don't have 10 chapters.

Now, 5 chapters and up qualify as hidden gems so we can expand our sights on books for Hidden Gems Month.

Next order of business, the election system has been changed 👩🏽‍⚖️

It's simpler now and ya less likely to get influenced by others choices 🌚

3 books will be chosen, pardon, I mean ... *curated* by yours truly, and two random members in the book club for nomination.

These 3 books will be the choices given to the book club. When you've made your decision out of the 3, please take a good 10-30 seconds to pm @niggazlibrary aka this account with your choice.

And that's it! The most voted on book will be chosen for the month.

Exceptionally for this month, I rushed and chose all 3 books up for nomination alone. Was there favoritism you say? ... Naurrrr, uv coors knot! ya my favorite ppl on here anyways!! 💀

All three books are relatively short so we all have time to read them before we meet again on July 7th.

Are we open to meeting on Zoom on July 7th to discuss the book? 👀

The idea was brought up by celesteamoure and I think it's genius 😭 we can really discuss on there and of course cameras can be turned off since ya pretty asses be wanting to keep your pretty all to yourself ✋🏽🙄

Anyways, I'll see by then if I'm even available 💀 hopefully y'all are willing but ofc I'd always be fine with doing the meeting in a book.
