HEY GUYS SO THERE IS A TIME SKIP HERE OF 1 YEAR, AND YES THE EGG IS HATCHING! - ALCB
Moon and Qibli were outside. They had decided to let their dragonet hatch under a full moon, just to see if it would inherit any Rightwing powers. Moon had barely resisted the urge to curl herself around the egg. Over the past year they had gotten everything ready for their first dragonet. Moon had worked part time at JMA as a substitute whenever they needed one, but always hired an egg sitter. Moon was taking no risks with her first dragonet, and wanted to be sure to be a good mother.
CRACK* "It's hatching!" Moon cried lunging forward, "what do I do?" "I don't know! Remember I'm new to this whole parent thing too!" Qibli panicked. Several long cracks appeared in the egg. Moon paced in a circle around the egg, not knowing what to do. CRACK* Suddenly the egg burst, sending eggshell flying everywhere.
Moon blinked and then gasped, because there, in the middle of the clearing outside the house, sat the most beautiful, perfect dragonet both of them had ever seen. She was a beautiful light gold with black diamonds down her side and bright green eyes. Her horns and claws were a glittering black. The sandwing barb at the end of her tail was also black and she had black freckles all over her as though someone had splattered her with paint. And most shocking of all, she had the Nightwing mind reader scales beside her eyes.
Moon walked over to her and stared into her intense green eyes. The dragonet tilted her head to one side and gave her Mother a curious look. Moon knew the dragonet was reading the thoughts in her mind. Moon looked at qibla and he nodded his consent. She tcrned back to the dragonet in her arms, "Your name is Dust, and you will be the happiest dragonet in the whole world."
