Hey people, so i wrote this during a really boring english class. Really just wanted to experiment with wattpad and get to know the program before i start working on my actual book. Any comments would be apreciated, and having said that, i hope you enjoy this short story....even though i personally don't know what to think about it :P

The freezing wind blew throughout the trees, giving the leaves a life of their own. Sweeping unseen came the darkness of Night, quieting everything in it's wake. The small circular lagoon rippled with tiny waves, caused by the breeze. The full moon, shining in all it's splendor, slowly moved its light to the water. The woods, silent, and deathly still seemed to anticipate the moment the moon's beam would touch the rippling water.

At last the still black water perfectly mirrored the full moon in its exact center. Two fish, seeming to come from the very depths of the earth, started swimming towards the reflection. One was darker then the surrounding Night, with a fin and tail of brilliant silver. His companion was the exact opposite,as shiny as the silver moon, her tail and fin were the blackness found only within the Abyss. Both coming from that unknown dimension, were spirits dance, and ghosts live, they split apart just before coming under the moon's beam.

Slowly they started to swim around the moon's reflection, always being on the opposite side of each other. Gathering speed, they swam without causing a visible affect on the water, but the brilliant Light seemed to shimmer, and condense into a whirlpool of light, just above the reflection. If any living mortal had been in that mystical place, where dreams are more then dreams,at that very time, they would think they heard the black fish call out his name, Time. Of course they would've also heard his companion call out her name,Space. The fishes, now a swirling blur of light and dark, seemed to effortlessly blend into one another, creating a perfect circle, and a mystical current that drew the Light into it's center.

Night, always being the last one to arrive somewhere, and the first one to leave, was to late to stop the dance of Life. The summoning of the Being had already begun, and Night couldn't do anything except join in.

Finally all four dancers were reunited,Time,Space,Light, and Night continued there circular dance, silently awaiting the arrival of the three witnesses. A large bullfrog, coming from the far end of the lagoon, arrived soon after. Being the witness for the spirits,it's body shimmered with an other world glow.

Out of the woods creeped out a large panther. Blending in with the darkness,it walked to the edge of the lagoon and sat right next to the bullfrog. The witness of the damned, and of Death itself had just arrived. Last to show up was the the witness of the living, a red tail hawk, whose very size gave away it's unnatural purpose.

At last all seven were present. The spinning funnel of Light started to stretch, joining the Night with the moon's reflection. Always spinning,Time, and Space, were no longer visible, except for the flow of light and darkness they created.Night serving as the bridge between the heavens, and the earth, filled the circle within the funnel that Light had made. At last, having everything fall into place, the reflection solidified, serving as the lock to the other world, the world of Life. Now the panther started to circle the lagoon, the bullfrog joined him when he was on the opposite side. The hawk, the only one present without a name, rose to the sky,and started circling in the opposite direction as the panther and bullfrog, keeping everything balanced. For seven days this dance continued, without break, without any rest for the living creatures. Finally,as the seventh day ended, did the gate to Life open, releasing another centuries' worth of life, death, joy, sadness, peace, and war.

All were needed, all depended on their counter part, unfortunately,in the world of the living, life couldn't exist with out death, joy couldn't be present without sadness, nor could peace exist without war. Everything having been completed, were Night, and Time able to release their hold on the earth, releasing every living creature from the slumber they had enchanted the world with. Birds started singing,as the sun finally came up for the first time in seven days. Of course this was only known to the seven who had taken part in the dance of Life. As dawn arrived, Night,Death, and the witness for the spirits vanished back into the abyss. The red tail hawk, now a normal size, left back to its nest, the only whose memory was always erased at the end of the dance. Light stayed for a while longer, while Time, and Space, went back to where ever they came from.
