"Mom, stop lecturing me, okay? I know, I've learnt my lesson, I understand!" I groaned, banging my head on the wooden table. My mother had been lecturing me for the past half hour, and it was starting to get annoying.
"I'm sorry, alright, I just need to tell you that you shouldn't go out at night by yourself to a club! Thirty minutes away!" My mom screamed, hands on hips.
"Mom, what's wrong about that?! You're being way too overprotective!" I exclaimed, standing up.
"'What's wrong with that'?! Everything is wrong with that!" Mom said, looking up at me, since I was in my high heels.
"Just let me live my life, okay? I don't want my mother to tell me what to do!" I yelled, stomping past her and running upstairs to my room. I slammed the door so loud the sound echoed, and I flopped onto my bed.
"You're grounded for two months, Jennifer!"
"Whatever!" I yelled back, rolling my eyes. This was the least strictest. I've once been grounded for a year, five years ago. I grabbed my phone from my desk and clicked 'Messages.'
"My mom is such a bitch, she doesn't know how stupid her attitude is!" I typed, clicking 'Send.' I flopped onto my comfy bed, staring at the ceiling. Suddenly I heard a ring from my phone and raised it over my head, unlocking the screen.
"I feel u, girl. I have a mom like tht." Kaitlyn sent back, with a frowny face next to it.
"Thnx but whtevr. How ya doing?" I texted.
"Good, a little. How's little Brittany?" Kaitlyn sent me. Brittany was my little sister.
"She's awesome! Wanna call meh?" I texted. Five seconds later Kaitlyn called me.
"Hey, girl! Have the mood to go to the mall?" Kaitlyn exclaimed, giggling.
"Sure," I rolled my eyes. "But I'm grounded."
"Too bad...guess you'll have to break your way out!" Kaitlyn said, a hint of mystery in her voice.
"What do you mean, Kaitlyn?" I asked slowly, getting suspicious.
"Can't you understand me? I'm saying, you'll have to break the rules and sneak out of your house to go to the mall!"
"Kaitlyn, no! I can't do that, or Mom's going to ground me even more! I can't have that."
"Yes, you can, with me helping you! I'm the master of disguise and sneaking. You'll be out no problem. I'll be over in ten."
"No, Kaitlyn!" But she had already hung up. I stared at my phone, letting it slide out of my hand and bounce onto the soft covers.
"Kaitlyn's never going to listen to me, isn't she?" I asked myself, rolling my eyes and leaning on the back of my bed.

"Yo, Jennifer!" A voice called from outside my window. I looked up to see Kaitlyn squatting on a thick branch of one of the trees in the backyard, holding onto a small branch hovering above her.
"Kaitlyn, I told you not to come!" I replied, opening the window. Kaitlyn stepped in, ignoring me. I closed the window, sighing.
"Mom is going to be so mad, Kaitlyn! What if you get us both in trouble? I'll never forgive you!"
"Jen, stop worrying, I know what I'm doing," Kaitlyn said, walking around the room. "Now, change, you won't be going to the mall in that."
"Excuse me?" I bulged out my eyeballs. "That's rude."
"No, it's not, now, change, you're wasting precious time."
"Kaitlyn, my mom's going to know if I'm not here, okay? You don't know her, you've never met her."
