~Harry~
"Dennis Rhodes." The din of voices rang loud in the background.
"Mr. Rhodes, it's Harry Styles."
"Oh, Mr. Styles, good to hear from you." He sounded surprised and I stared down at my desk where Tori and Tanner's new identifications lay.
"Have I caught you at a bad time?" I asked, picking up Tanner's card and flipping it in between my fingers.
"No, no, not at all. Let me get somewhere quiet." I heard a door open then shut, the voices I had heard before fading away. "So, are you just calling to check in?" He asked.
"No, I actually think that I might have some information that might help you." I said, leaning forward in my chair.
"Oh?"
"Yea I was looking through Victoria's things and I found some old identification and passports that belong to her and to Tanner Rowland."
"As in she didn't take them with her?"
"Exactly." I said, nodding to myself.
"And along with those, I found photo copies of new identification with fake names."
"You, my friend," Dennis said, "Have hit the jackpot."
"You think so?" I asked leaning back.
"I know so. Why don't you send those all on over to my office and I'll have a look and see what I can dig up, how does that sound?"
"Great, it sounds great."
"Good, did you want to drop them off or have them couriered?"
"I'll drop them off." I said, feeling my heart quickening.
"Beautiful."
"Will you find her if I give you these?" I asked, my voice cracking.
"Uh, I don't like to make promises Mr. Styles, it will definitely increase our chances but..."
"By how much?"
"I don't have a statistic on hand but I'm trying my best." I waited, as both of us were silent, then sighed, sinking into my chair.
"Alright, just let me know when you find something...if you find something."
"As soon as I know anything, you will know." As my finger hovered over the end button I closed my eyes.
"Dennis?"
"Yes, Mr. Styles."
"It's Harry. Please call me Harry"
"Harry, sorry."
"Yea, there was an address but I...lost the paper."
"Can you remember anything about it?"
"Well, I know it the second word was Tanneurs."
"Can you spell it for me?"
"Sure, T-A-N-N-E-U-R-S." I said slowly.
"That sounds French." Dennis said and I heard him typing.
"Dennis, could you let me know where each one is, I'd like to go myself."
"That really isn't how I usually do this, but from what I understand this is a sensitive subject." I waited, listening to him type. "I'll send you a list of what I come up with."
"Thank you." As we hung up, I felt a considerable weight off my shoulders.
"Harry?" I turned in my chair to see Niall standing in the doorway of my room.
"Yea, man what's up?"
"I want to help you."
"Were you listening to my phone call?" I asked, scolding him like a little kid.
"Yea, and I'm sorry, I just really would like to help."
"Oh yea?" I stood up, walking to my closet, a small smile crossing my face, but I stifled it, pulling out a black shirt and a pair of black gym shorts. I turned and tossed them at Niall who caught them, confused. "Put those on, we're going for a run. If we're going to do this we're going to need stamina and strength. Are you sure you're up for the challenge?"
"Uhm, yea. Okay if you're sure...what does this man hunt...entail?" He stammered, pulling off his shirt and replacing it with the one I handed him.
"Scaling buildings," I said, grabbing my runners and pulling them on. "Fence hopping...hey, Nialler do you know how to pick locks?"
"Uh..." Niall said, his face reddening.
"I'm kidding." I said watching his face contort into more confusion. "I'm kidding, Niall." He visibly relaxed and a smile broke out across his face.
"You fucker." He charged towards me and tackled me onto my bed. We lay side by side staring at the ceiling.
"Will you really help me Niall?" I asked.
"Whatever it takes man," Niall said, his voice low. "Whatever it takes."
