James was sitting in the library, studying for an etiquette class he had to do. It was his least favorite thing, but he had to. It's his duties after all. Being a prince is hard, but there's really no other lifestyle available for him. He liked the silence of the library, he went to it a lot. Reading was his favorite...except when it's for classes with that prissy Instructor Bermudo. Even his name sounded weird. He hummed softly to himself. Nothing could stray his bliss...or so he thought.Emilio De Rossi and the De Rossi family have been rivals with the Millington Family for generations. The De Rossi's are a well-known mafia gang, known for their willingness to steal and do business in dangerous places such as the Royal Castle. Emilio, more known by the name Alexander, was the son of the head of the De Rossi mafia. He had to train by leading his own small group of men through varying schemes. This one was for an emerald necklace, it was priceless. And occupied in the castle.
Emilio opened the door, peeking in to make sure it was clear. He hadn't seen James, so he turned around and whisper-yelled.
"Via Via! staizii!"
The rest of the men quickly followed him in and went to a bookshelf that was near James.
"Here's the schema: We quietly run out, get to the room, steal the collana, and get out"
Meanwhile, James had thought he heard something. He got up and went towards the more stuffy atmosphere. He heard Emilio's voice and their plan. He waited until the right moment to step out and make known that he was there.
"Not very smart of you to say your plan in front of someone else."
At that moment, Emilio (or should I say Alexander) looked over and then smirked
"Well well well, look who we have here. If I was you, I would've stayed silent, bambino"
"Well, I'm not who you think I am. Now, what were you saying about stealing something?"
Emilio snapped his fingers and two of his men grabbed James by each arm.
"Hm, are you sure Prince James Millington the 3rd? Your little alarm button ain't gonna work out for you. Besides, we just need a small necklace, no big deal"
"Tch. Well, you aren't going to get the small necklace you desire. Your plan isn't going to work very well either. I have guards and knights surrounding the castle. If you think that you are going to get past them, you may want to wish to think again, De Rossi"
"Aw that's cute, you know my last name...how flattering, said in a perfect little accent as well. Tienilo qui"
He glanced at the two men holding James, and then back at the prince.
"You're lucky we isn't gonna hurt you. It'd be such a shame if Mr. Perfect's body was damaged"
"I hope you burn in hell. And don't call me 'Mr. Perfect' ever again, bastard"
Emilio took a step forward, about to snap, but stopped himself and turned to the door.
"A fa napule. Andiamo."
He walked out with his men, James yelling various names in a way to stop them although they obviously wouldn't. Sooner or later, sirens went off signifying that there were intruders upstairs. Surely they'd catch them upstairs right? Wrong. Emilio opened the door and yelled.
"Dai, presto!"
He looked over at James.
"We'll see each other soon, bello."
And that was it. That was James' first interaction with an oddly attractive Italian guy who was destined to be his enemy.
