“Your parents are dead,”

……

“Huh,”

“HAHAHAHA S-STOP THAT TICKLES!,”

Me and my dad were playing around on the sofa, as my mom watched us from afar giggling. I was finally able to push my dad off using all my strength.

“Yahh! Don’t think tickling me will stop me from being mad at you,”

My dad sighed.
“Ash it’s only for a few hours, you know how important these conferences are,” he said sitting back down.
My mom walked up to me and cupped my cheek.

“We can go out when I came back, me and your father won’t take too long,” she said with a genuine smile.

I huffed, calming down a bit.

“Promise me,” I said pulling up my pinkie for a pinkie promise.

“Your such a baby,” my mom whined.

I giggled giving her a smirk.

She pulled out her pinkie and intertwined it with mine.

“Promise,”

My dad clapped his hands as if he was ready to go. Kissing my cheek he took his suitcase and folder and got up from the sofa.

“Alright is there any place you wanna go when we get back,”

“Hmm…..Ice Cream!”

“Ice cream it is then,” my mom said excitedly.

….

I watched my parents get in the black car that was in front of our mansion. It was evening the sun was setting creating a beautiful warm cotton candy sky. The maids waved at me as I watched them cut the grass, the fountain in front of my house was shinning, so was all the Mercedes cars parked in front of my house

My parents were always busy but that’s what happens when you have an important business to take care of. I had just finished the 10th grade, and it was summer, I was looking forward to spending time with them.

I waved at them, as they waved back at me.

When I was about to walk back into the house, I noticed the chauffeur struggling to start the engine. Being able to see them through the car window, my dad and mom had confused looks on their faces.

Even though I couldn’t hear them, the chauffeur had told my father something causing his eyes to widen, he and my mom turned to me, looking out the window, waving their hands, and making hand signals to the house’s direction as if telling me to run.

Huh.

BOOM
.
.
.

The black car that my parents were in was now in flames.

What just happened…

Present…

“Your parents are dead,”

……

“Huh,”

“The car had exploded due to a bomb implanted in the back of the car seat, the police were gonna tell you later, but I thought id get it out the way, even though it’s not official any person with sense would know that you cant survive from something like that,”

I stared at my aunt who was on her phone telling me this bluntly. Her designer clothes were sparkly enough to make you go blind.

“But h-how is t-that possible…,”
