chapter one: the beginning

My phone has been ringing and buzzing all weekend long.  I had to block Joliet because of the contest calling and texting. " What's wrong with you?" Camille sits down next me with the twins. I take one out of her arms," nothing." " What happened on Friday?" " It doesn't matter," I kiss Alss on the cheek. " Whenever you're ready to talk. I'm here." I nod my head while playing with the baby." Let me put them down for a nap," Mille stands up. I hand her Alss then lean back on the couch. My phone buzz, I hope you're okay after Friday Butterfly. I stare at the text," what you looking at." I press the power button on my phone," nothing." " Yeah okay," Trey sits in the chair across from me. 

" I'll see you later," I get up from the couch going upstairs to my room. Everybody wanted to know why Romeo brought me home that night. Mrs. Victoria and Lilly wave at me in the hallway. I smile and wave before  closing the door," you think she alright?''  '' When she's ready to talk we'll be here." I go to the bed laying across it. Why can't they just leave it alone? My phone buzzes again, we need to talk. Meet me down the street. A knock at the door scares me," yes." I open the door," lunch is ready," the maid tells me." I'm not hungry, but thank you. Can you tell everyone that I have a lot of school work that needs to be done." " Yes," she nods.

I close the door, I put on a pair of black air max. I grab my book bag and laptop leaving my room. I walk downstairs through the kitchen," Brandi, where are you going?" Tisha leans against the counter," I need some space to get my work done." " Okay," I opened the back door going to the guest house. I wave at the guards walking across the backyard. I go to the guest house and stop at the coffee table in the living room. I open my laptop setting on the table then  pull my books out of my bookbag. I open them on the table with my notebook and pencil. I turn the tv on the only American channel. I look out the window and watch as the guard walks past. I open and close the door quietly.

 I run into the woods until I see Rome's silver Porsche. I walk around the car to the passenger seat. I opened the door," you look so beautiful, Butterfly." I sit down, closing the door," thank you." He pulls off," where are you taking me?" "Since you're scared to be seen with me. We're going to the apartment." " What do we need to talk about?" " You need to keep better friends around." " Yeah I know," I look out the window. He squeezes my knee sending butterflies to my stomach. The rest of the ride he rested his hand on my knee while I look out the window. We pull into the garage, Romeo rushes out of the car to open my door. " Thank you," I get out of the car. 

He pulls a card out, pressing it on the pad next to the door. It clicks, opening the door. Romeo holds the door open letting me go in first. He presses the  Penthouse button. I look straight forward, trying to stop the butterflies. It's been a while since we've been together. Without none  of his guards around.  The door opens and he puts his hand on my lower back. We walk down the hallway to the place I remember vividly. He opens the door to the same amazing view from my last visit. I walk in looking around," you acting like this is your first time here." He walks past me to the living room. I follow him, staring at the view," I can't get over this view too." He wraps his arms around me from behind.

 We stand like that for a while watching," I brought you here to spend some time with you before I leave," he pulls me to the couch. "Where are you going?" He sits me on his lap pulling my back to his chest." I got a business opportunity in Russia that I need to personally deal with." I turn to face him," how long will you be gone?" " I'm hoping it's only a few days but it can take up to a couple of weeks." " Oh," look down at my hands. He grabs my hands," this is supposed to be a good time." I smile as he pulls me in his chest," let's put on a movie." He grabs the remote, putting on Netflix," what you want to watch?" He scrolls through tv shows and movies," I Care A Lot." He clicks on while I get comfortable in his arms.

We watch a couple more movies before I notice how late it's getting. " I gotta go home," get out of his lap. " You can stay a little longer," he grabs my arm, pulling me back. " I know Millie is going to freak when she finds out I'm not at the guest house." My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket. Millie's name appears on the screen," fuck." I take a deep breath before answering," hello." " Brandi Evelyn Smith, where are you?" " I-i," Romeo takes the phone out of my hand. " Hey Camille, it's Romeo. She's with me." " I know she ran off without telling you." I see you don't have my back." I wanted to see her before I left the country." He hands me the phone," yes." " Brandi, you gotta stop with all these secrets and sneaking around. I just want to know that you're safe."

 " Okay," I look down at my hands. " I'll see you when you get home." " Okay," I hang up. " See it wasn't that bad," he pulls me into his lap. " I'll order food while you find something else to watch." He pulls his phone out while I grab the remote. I go through the list of tv shows putting on You. " Pizza, thia, Chinese or pasta." " Pizza is fine," I get comfortable in his lap as the show starts. I listen as he speaks Italian over the phone, making me wet. The sound of his voice as he pronounces each word makes it hard for me to sit still. I run my thighs together and move my butt more into his lap. He grabs my waist, squeezing it with his free hand.

 He ends the call throwing the phone on the couch. " What's going on with all this butt moving," he whispers  in my ear." Nothing," I say breathless.
