Y/N Aceto lives in the outskirts of Sardinia, Italy. His mother, Estella Aceto, works two jobs. She's a waitress during the day and a bartender at night. She loves Y/N but rarely sees him due to her jobs to support them. His father was a good man with a dark secret.
He had a gambling addiction drowning himself in debt. One night a man approached him offering money to feed his horrendous addiction. He wasn't a lucky man, and after a while the man that approached him wanted the money back. A letter was sent to Estella saying that if she didn't pay it back her and her yet to be known unborn son would perish the same way he did. He was shot and killed in an alleyway left there to be fed on by rats.
The only thing written in the letter about paying back was that she had to have to have at least half of the money, forcing her to pull money from the bank. It was only half because that man paid the other half with his wretched life. Securing their lives for the time being, but forever living in debt. When Y/N was six years old his grandmother died forcing him to grow up alone with cold meals, a messy house, and and loneliness. At this point in their lives the only thing that belonged to them was the house, the property around it, and themselves.
Y/N despised the man for making their way of life harder than it should have been, but can't hate a man who he's never met. He hated the way his father had decided to live and his mom did too. She really did love him but would never forgive him for that. They never spoke about him, and the only reason he know about this man is because of that debt that he left behind.
That's why when Y/N turned fifteen he started working as a cashier hoping to help his mom with some of the living cost. He still couldn't spend proper time with her. It made him sad but now his mom didn't have to worry as much about him as she used to.
Y/N has always been a quiet kid and kept to himself. He doesn't go looking for trouble but he doesn't like to be messed with. He's never been embarrassed about the way he dresses, its what he likes wearing. He laughs at kids who fall out loud without shame. He doesn't like people, physical touch, loud noises, and talking about himself. Overall Y/N is a good kid and better left alone.
That's why it wasn't weird when one day Y/N decided to take a different route home to avoid unwanted social interaction. On the final road home he noticed a boy who looked around the same age as him. Y/N noticed that the boy on the floor was hugging himself as if to soothe some sort of pain he was feeling. Y/N looked both ways across the street before jogging over to the boy. The boy heard Y/N jogging towards him but didn't turn to face him, he thought he was gonna hurt him or insult him.
"Hey, Are you okay? Do you need help? Can you get up?" Y/N said extending his hand offering help without needing an answer. "I'm fine." He said accepting Y/N's help standing up, dusting himself off best he could. Y/N noticed the boy's bewildered expression on his face, pink haired bangs that swept across his face, light colored irises, and his busted lip.
"Are you sure you're okay your lip..." Y/N said grabbing his chin gently tilting his head, getting closer to get a better look at the injury. The boy slightly blushed at Y/N's concern and the distance between them. Y/N was stunned for a few seconds, letting him go, and taking a few steps back. "I'm so sorry I don't know what came over me I usually don't-" Y/N was cut off by the boy. "Its fine really just took me by surprise." Y/N was relieved that he hadn't scared him.
Y/N cleared his throat to try and ease the tension "Hello, my name is Y/N. What's your name?" He said calmly. "My name is Solido Naso" He said fixing his posture. "Well its a pleasure to meet you, Solido." Y/N said showing a polite smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you too." Solido returning the smile.
"I hope you don't mind me asking but how did you end up on the floor with injuries?" Y/N asked. "Well there were these guys asking me to give them my wallet or whatever." Solido said plainly. "Wait you were mugged before I got here! Shouldn't you report it to the police or something!?" Y/N said with concern. Solido looked down as if to think.
"No, people like them strike once and move on. But they'll get what they deserve." Solido looked up reassuring Y/N that there really was no need to worry. Y/N decided to ignore the last thing he said. Solido didn't really know how to keep the conversation going so whatever came to mind would be what he would say. "Where are you from, Y/N? Do you live around here?" Y/N wasn't sure how to respond he had just met this guy. "I've lived here my entire life, and I was on my way home until I bumped into to you." Y/N explained.
Solido silently observed Y/N the entire time. His posture, the way he spoke, how much eye contact was too much for him until he would have to look away from him. It says a lot about a person. More than you would think.
"Well, It was nice meeting you Solido. I guess its goodbye, for now." Y/N said before turning to leave, waving as he walked away. "It was nice to meet you too, Y/N!" Solido shouted from behind him.
Y/N thought Solido was kinda weird, but not in a bad way. In fact, it was the weirdness of the encounter and the boy that intrigued him even more...
