A groan escapes my lips as I push myself up from the cold concrete, looking up to see the bright blue sky, a sky I haven't seen in a while. Everything comes flooding back as soon as my vision fully clears to see the debris of the castle in front of me. Crowds of people begin to come out carefully from different areas, tears flowing down the faces of those who'd lost through the bloodshed.

"Is it over now? Is it really over?" One calls out, her voice breaking at the thought of their worst nightmare finally coming to an end.

"It is" I stand up carefully watching the citizens' eyes begin to fill with tears, some dropping to their knees, others embracing their families, but joy plastered on all their faces. My body relaxes as Kaito returns to his sylph state and taking a seat on my shoulder as we walk away from the crowd, not wanting to be caught up in the reunion.

Now that it's over, the people will return to their homes, rebuild the life they once had, and resume their lives as these events will eventually fade from memory. The lives lost through the battle will be honors and remembered, but everyone will move forward to live their lives, that includes everyone from Clover kingdom.

Everyone will return to where they belong, Yuno included.

He'll stay here, as the sole heir to the Spade Kingdom throne.

I will most likely return to the Heart kingdom now that the devils are gone and finally assume my duty as second princess.

The destiny in which was decided for us by God above is one we cannot escape, nor can we try to.

It must simply be accepted and acted upon, selfishness aside.

From behind the rubble, I see everyone else cheering loudly, the black bulls hugging and crying, Captain William with Yuno and the others while I stand off the sidelines, guilt and what feels like bitterness beginning to fester in my heart again.

"Aren't you going to go talk to them? I'm sure everyone has questions and Yuno is.."

"I'm not." I quickly cut Kaito off before he can say anymore. "We both have our destiny to come to terms with. It's better to leave things as they are now. We're both alive and well. The Spade kingdom has their leader and Lolopechka is going to need help while recovering and getting the Heart kingdom back in tack. No more running away Kaito. It's time to face the facts." I turn and begin to walk back into the woods before anyone can spot me.

"But aren't you running away right now?" He flies in front of me in an attempt to stop me from going any further. "You're always considering others and what you think they need, have you stopped to think about yourself at all?"

I take a deep breath. "When it comes to being royalty, I can't think of myself. I have to think about the good of the people, my people."

I take one last look at the group behind me, memories flashing through my mind of the happy times I shared with everyone. Biting my lip I continue through the woods, not looking back any longer.

I mustn't be selfish any longer, no I can't anymore

Even if what I want more than anything is to run to him and stay with him forever.

Yuno's POV

~Days later~

After everything cleared, Y/n was no where to be seen, almost like she disappeared into thin air. No one had seen or heard from her at all.

As expected, I had to inherit the throne and begin guiding the people on rebuilding the kingdom. The castle itself is in shambles as well, so repairs won't be done for a while.
