Chapter 13

(Dipper pov)

My tears fall onto Bill as I craddle his upper body in my arms silently begging for his eyes to open. Hearing footsteps I look up at Stan and see him holding the kind of gun that Ford and Mable had been carrying when they invaded the castle. "Kid-"

"You.....you shot him....we weren't doing anything wrong and you shot him!"

"I thought he was hurting you. I couldn't clearly see what you two were doing. I'm sorry."

"Sorry? You fucking shot him with a bullet that Ford designed to kill him! He will die and you're fucking sorry?! Sorry isn't fucking good enough, Stan!"

"Maybe I could-"

"You've done enough. If you really care about me then you'll go away." I stand up wrapping my arms around Bill's torso and drag him back to the castle, Stan not moving from his spot the entire time.

Once back at the castle I bang my fist on the large wooden door. "I need help!"

The door opens and Kill comes out. He rushes to Bill's side at once. "What happened?"

"W-We were just in the forest and Stan shot him from behind....I-I didn't know this would happen...."

"Just calm down Dipper." He puts Bill over his shoulder as I follow him inside to Bill's room. He gently lays Bill on the bed. "He's losing a lot of blood....." He lifts up Bill's shirt and I see the bullet hole goes right through him. "Dipper, I need you to apply preassure while I get some bandages." I put my hands over the wound trying to stop the bleeding as he ransacks the room looking for bandages before finally finding them. He wraps the bandages around Bill's torso before backing away from the edge. "Fucking hell...."

"What do we do now?"

"There isn't anything we can do. That bullet was coated with dead man's blood. If that stuff touches our skin it burns us so we can't heal but if it gets into our blood then it stays in there, slowly posioning us......I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do for him. He and Tad are going to die, but Bill might beat Tad to that grave. I.....I can't deal with this right now." He walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.

I wipe the blood on my hands onto my jeans as I look at Bill. I've seen him when he sleeps, he always looks so peaceful. But not now, now he looks like he's constantly in pain and there is nothing I can do to help. ".....I hated you when you fed on me for the first time. It hurt so bad and you did it so often that I felt like I was barely even alive. When Kill attacked me I didn't fight back because I wanted to die, so I could escape your grasp of me. But then you turned me into this monster so I can't escape. I hated you and wanted you dead but now.......I can't imagine my life without you." I sit on the edge of his bed holding one of his hands.
"Shot guns and roses
