I was a senior this year, I have been waiting for this for 3 years, ever since I was a little freshman. I WAS SO EXCITED. I have worked on my reputation for 3 years straght and I finally got it to where I wanted it to be.
I had ombre hair, meaning it got lighter the further down it went, started at brown and ended with blonde. I had bright blue eyes, almost too bright. I had completely straight teeth, considering I had to have braces for 2 years, making me look dorky. I had a perfect tan, one I had worked all summer for. Constant days outside on the lake was pretty much my whole summer, well besides going on vacation to the beach where I met this boy, Austin. I called him Aus, though. I missed him very much. We exchanged phone numbers and all and we talked for a while after the beach but it suddenly just faded away, unfortunately.
*FLASHBACK*
I had just arrived at the beach and walked into the hotel and noticed a whole freaking baseball team would be staying in the same hotel as me. I was so excited because baseball boys are usually gorgeous. I ran up into my room and quickly changed into my pink bikini which had black stripes on it. I grabbed a towel and threw on a t-shirt and ran down the steps, not even thinking about taking the elevator. I got the pool and started to take off my shirt when this boy with brown hair hair and green eyes said "oh hey there, beautiful." I smiled and took off my shirt. I noticed him staring at me, so I blushed, and he giggled at me. He asked my name, so I shyly said "Sky, short for Skyler," "oh, well my name is Aus, short for Austin," he said and winked at me.
We both found out that we were going to be here for two weeks, he was going to be here one week with his baseball team and one week he was staying longer to stay with his mom and younger brother. I smiled, because that meant I would have two weeks to look at this beautiful human. Gahhlee, he was perfect.
Anyway, long story short me and Austin got really close within those two weeks, I hardly spent anytime with my family that Austin wasn't there, and when those two weeks were up we both were very upset. We traded numbers and went our seperate ways. Our families made plans for us to come to the beach at the same time next year.
*FLASHBACK OVER*
I walked into school hearing random boys whistle at me and a few wink at me, I had been used to this ever since I got my braces off. I guess you could say I'm kind of "popular." I just smiled at the boys and continued on to the office to get my schedule for this year. I had on skinny jeans, a black collared shirt, and black toms. I heard the principle telling Mr. Hurley that a new student would be coming today and he would be in his homeroom, so make him feel welcome. I grinned because that's who I have for homeroom, and I love when we get new students. I always try and make friends with them.
The bell rang and I ran down the hallway trying to get to homeroom. I ran in right as the late bell rang. I smiled and found in the back middle. Thankfully I would have the back row to myself, so I could have my phone out and no one would see me. Suddenly the door opened the principle said, "everyone this is our new student, make him welcome!"
I didn't want to gawk, so I pretended like I was getting something out of my bookbag. My teacher said "you can sit next to Skyler for now." I could see him come sit down, he was tall and had brown hair. That's all I could recognize for right now. I sat up and looked over and all of a sudden I spat out "AUSTIN?!"
He looked over embarrassed like, and grinned and said "Sky?! Oh my god. My day is starting off to be amazing. I love it here. I have missed you so much." He looked flawless. He had the same piercing green eyes I remembered, and had on jeans, a red polo, and red polo shoes. I remembered he told me his favorite brand of clothing was "Ralph Lauren".
Everyone was staring at us kind of confused. I said "Oh, we met at the beach over summer." Everyone nodded and turned back around when I heard my ex boyfriend Jay say "yeah, it was probably her fuck buddy for the summer since she ditched me." I glared over at him and then flipped him off. Mr. Hurley said "now, now students, calm down." Jay had longer brown hair and blue eyes.
I was pissed at Jay, but overwhelmed with excitement that Aus was here, with me, in my school, sitting beside me.
Almost toward the end of class my bestfriend Zack barged in the door cursing under his breath. He had on a pair of black skinny jeans, red vans, a white t-shirt, and a black jacket. "You're almost 40 minutes late Zackary, where have you been?"
Zack said "You sure you wanna know the truth?" "I do," said Mr. Hurley.
I grinned because I knew exactly what Zack did last night. He huffed and said "well I went to a party last night and let's just say I had a hard time waking up this morning, and now I have a headache." "Oh," said Mr. Hurley, he was disappointed and told Zack that he would have detention after school tomorrow with him. Zack nodded and sat on the other side of me.
"Zack, you idiot. Why the fuck did you tell him what you did? Well what WE did?" I said and smiled. Zack said "well I kinda thought you would have came in late too but whatever, is that Austin?" he said and pointed at him. I nodded because I had already texted him telling him that my beach crush was here now.
I've had feelings for Zack ever since Sophomore year when my older sister died in a car accident. Zack was there for me when everyone else wasn't. My crush for him kind of faded away over the summer but when I saw him last night for the first time since school let out my feelings came back for him. I liked him a lot, and I am almost positivie he could tell. I was afraid to do anything about it because I didn't want to risk our friendship.
*ZACKS POV*
I walked in and instantly noticed my girl, Sky. She looked so good today. I loved the new hair dye she has going on. Looks amazing on her. Me and her had hung out last night and got pretty wasted. I figured she would be in late today too, but guess not considering she is here before I am.
I noticed Austin, the boy she texted me about. I already didn't like him. I had a crush on Sky, I have since Freshman year. I don't know that she knows that or not. I plan to tell her soon though. I hope it works out.
But then again, it could ruin our friendship.. Maybe I shouldn't tell her.
