Doctor doctor

Chapter 2

He is going to get so mad at me. I left the house. I didn't eat. I'm soaked. I'm shaking from the cold and I'm covered in dirt and grass.

I go to tuck my hair behind my ear but I feel the flower that is still there. I take it out and examine it. It's covered in water but it didn't wilt or loss any petals. It stayed it's shape. If anything the bright yellow color got brighter with the water reflection.

Truly magical I say. The animals. The natures. The weather. Everything here is perfect. Pulling back into my house I see that dad isn't home. My eyebrows furrow but I try not to question it. I run into the house avoiding any one and go into the bathroom. I pant and look into the mirror.

I look exactly like I expected to. I wish my face and arms and feet. Removing my over clothes I go back to my room and collect my clothes.

After my shower I flip onto my bed completely clean and clothed with my fresh pajamas.
I check the time on my phone. I was only out for an hour . Felt like so much longer. I go to bed with the sound of Charlie and Bella coming home.

The next morning I wake to again Bella running down the stairs to the kitchen. Light doesn't shine very bright through the window. But enough that I can see it is raining and very early in the morning.

I get up and join my sister in the kitchen. She is eating a slice of toast with a glass of water.
"You driving to school today?" I ask her with a mouth full of egg.

She nods and takes another bite.
"Could I tag along. With my car?"
She looks up from pouring the water back down the drain and her eyebrows furrow together.  She shrugs and heads out the door. I quickly drop my food in the trash and dishes in the sink. I'm so glad my pajamas look like normal everyday clothes. Otherwise I wouldn't be tagging along.

My night clothes are a baggy t-shirt with my sweat pants. And over it a collage hoodie. Cleaned from last night of course.

She almost leaves without me behind her. I just want to see who is there. Maybe a job opening. It isn't far away. I know where it is.  We arrive there minutes before the bell rings. Everyone is outside either at a picnic bench or talking by their cars. Me and Bella park side by side and get out almost at he same time.

I honestly don't know what I will do. I don't come here so I guess I could just guide her to the office. I did go here for a few years while Bella way in Arizona. The education is better. And when I mean better I mean better people and weather.

Bella stands near her car for a extra long minute and I get tired of her main character acting self so I drag her by her wrist to the office. She takes her class paper and reads over it. I look over her shoulder as we walk back outside slowly. She nearly trips so I catch her and I look up to see a group of teenagers with bright yellow eyes starring at me.

I flinch at them jokingly but they don't move. Granted they are all the way across the parking lot but it's funny. I deliver Bella to her truck to stop her from tripping. I turn to see them starring once again. I flip them off behind my sisters back and get into my car.

I sure do hope I don't run into them again. That would be weird. Driving away I stop at a coffee shop. Sadly they don't have a drive through so I grab a few dollars I have stuffed in my pocket from a few months ago and I walk in.

I go in and order my usual. I sit at a table in the corner. It's small and there is only one guy around me. I go on my phone and start texting my best friend from Arizona. I give her updates about everything and even the small things that happened. I skip over the wolf I saw in the forest. Don't need to share that one.

She responds with a joke and I chuckle out loud to it. The man next to me looks up from his computer and I look back at him. He has pale skin like the moon and his yellow eyes are like gold. His lips are the perfect size. I swear he could be a model. He wears a doctor suit that shows his strong arms. He isn't drinking or eating anything. His blonde hair frames his face so well it's truly beautiful. I slowly see his eyes turn brown but it has to be my imagination.

I stop chuckling and he smiles at me. I grin back at him lightly and we look away at the same time. Yeah no I hope he isn't related to those creeps that almost stalked me at the school today.

At home I can't stop thinking about the man I saw at the coffee shop today. He looks like nothing I've ever seen before. A notification from my phone break e from my thoughts. It's Charlie.

I get out of work early today. Want to go out to eat? To catch up on what we missed?
I smile at his offer and I take it. It's only 8am so he should be out by 12:30. Good time for lunch. And some aime time for me.

What if I go back to where I saw the wolf? I hope it doesn't rain as hard again. Either way I have time. Running to my car Im smiling so happily. I drive around to where he helped me to my car. I see not a soul. I walk deeper into the mess of nature Andy smile fades when I don't find him. The second I stop walking I hear a twig snap behind me.

I turn like lightning. I see the same wolf I saw last time. He seems just as surprised as I am to see me. His eyes light up and he trouts up to me. I jog to him and with connect with me hugging his side.

"I missed you" I say into his ear. He nuzzled me lightly to not hurt me and I stay there petting him and I tell him everything. I don't take out the looks I got from the weird kids or the guy next to me. He stiffens when I mention them and doesn't do anything. Almost like he understood me.

"Do you understand me?" I say to him with surprise on my face. He doesn't react but he lays down On the ground and rests his head on his front paws. I lay next to him and soon I find my head on his side. He almost cuddled closer to me and we stay like that for a long time watching the clouds through the trees and we listen to the birds sing. His heart thumps under me making me feel relaxed.

Soon he whines a little and we get up. I check my phone and the time is half past eleven. I jump up to my feet and I explain to him what time it is. He looks around the trees like he doesn't know what I mean. I kiss his snout and sprint back to my car. He comes after me and rubs his nose on my shoulder almost like he doesn't want to me leave.

"I have to go. I shall see you again" I continue running yet he follows me all the way back. I get into my car and wave him goodbye. I'm the drive back to my house I see a wolf in the corner of my eye. I turn to see nothing fo the sort. I arrive at home easily before a quarter part twelve. I shower once again and change into real clothing for lunch.

After my shower I dress into my AC/DC  T-shirt with low waist cut dark blue jeans. I try my medium length hair half up in a pony tail and I wash my face with water. I look up into the mirror to see a body behind me. I turn quickly but it is gone.

Before I could make another movie I hear Charlie's boots on the wooden floors and him hanging his belt on the coat rack. I dry my face and release it of the fear I just felt.

"Therese! You home?" He yelled from down the stairs. I scream a response to him and trail my legs down the stairs. I don't let him get comfortable on the couch before I rush him out the door.

We take his car for me not wanting to pay money on gas with money I don't have.as he is driving we are chatting about the latest drama around town and what he heard. In the corner of my eye I once again see a wolf running beside the car. I turn my head mid smile and there is nothing.

I am going crazy.
