- Months after the Battle for Ionia and the peace treaty... -
Peace. Many have yearned for one form of it - an absolute and pure peace - to finally be restored to the First Lands. Many have desired for that peace to be the one force to unite the Ionians and bring prosperity and stability in their home. Many dreamed of such a paradisical world. However, many of them are also left devastated and disappointed in the form of peace that they received. They tried to dismiss it and disprove it, preaching and even going as far as promising the people of Ionia that they will get all they want, but reality is often disappointing.
The influence and power of the Accord of the Forsaken has grown remarkably after playing an invaluable role in the war that they have finally ended, but they are just as equally distrusted. They are still Noxians after all and there are those who remained adamant at keeping them at bay for the changes that they have brought to their world. The Accord, as always simply scoffed at their futile attempts to antagonize them.
The Accord is now the single most powerful fighting force in all of Ionia after the Noxian Empire have pulled out of their territories in the mainland. Those territories were handed not to the Ionians, but to their brothers and cousins in the Accord, allowing them to expand their reaches. Some saw this as a slow take over of their home, calling them no different than the Empire. As usual, the Accord dismissed those concerns.
They, however, know that antagonizing the Ionians is just another power keg waiting to be ignited. They remained ever cautious
Despite the hostility of the Ionians to the Accord, there are also those who became their staunch and in some cases, formidable supporters. The Ionian Ruling Council has honored their promise and (Anondric) officially became a member alongside Brigadier Moltkey. Through their positions, their influence began to grow even more rapidly.
The Navori Brotherhood remained a thorn in the side of the Accord. Even though the war was a victory for the allies and the Accord was directly responsible for it, they remained radicals and continued to oppose them at every step of the way. The warmasons spying on the Brotherhood were seeing only substantial success to reduce the likelihood of them being caught, though the persistence of the radicals was immense.
Regardless, the allies have already started a new age - an age of recovery. (Letholdus) continued to work for the people of Ionia - his people now - and open their eyes to the reality of Runeterra. He continued to show them that the true meaning of keeping the peace is to be ready for war again and give them the reality that their traditions have already been broken, and there is recovering that same tranquil peace from before, not when the Noxian Empire is still just across the channel and radicals persist.
Peace. Was it truly worth all their sacrifices? The loss of Ionia's age of complacency as some Accordians called it was undeniably a severe blow to the Ionians. Peace was considered by the Accordians as a rare commodity that is so easily broken, and they put little importance to such a concept. However, they, too, understand that the Ionians seek peace as much as they do, even declaring that they desire to bring back the old ways.
However, many also knew that it is now impossible.
It was no time to lament. The leaders of the alliance knew that the Accord are right, that peace can now only be secured if they prepare for war. So they did.
An age of recovery fell upon the First Lands. There is progress, regardless if the Navori Brotherhood tried to deny and impede it. The allies remained on guard for the internal thorns that threatened that progress, particularly the Order of Shadows who have been silent after (Anondric's) quick expedition to annihilate their base of operations. (Anondric) and Irelia would have to do it themselves, but their friends and allies are taking the initiative and inspired them to finally take their well-deserved rest after fighting in the front lines of the war.
