CHAPTER 3
CLOUDS WILL ALWAYS UNDERSTAND SKY

"Sky.. do you have feelings for me?"

Sky's heart is literally the definition of drums being hit nonstop. Dahil ganon na ganon ang pagtibok ng puso n'ya.

And what's even more strange is that he doesn't know the exact reason why is his heart, beats insanely!

He doesn't know if it's because he got caught almost kissing Cloud or.. because he got busted at how he actually feels towards his very first, but not the 'only' anymore, bestfriend.

Hindi makasagot si Sky. And he do know the reason why he cannot.

"Sky.. don't think the wrong way.." napataas ng tingin si Sky mula sa pagkakayuko nang marinig n'yang magsalitang muli si Cloud, "I'm just asking you.. kasi nahahalata ko naman noon pa. Ayoko lang talaga i-open sa'yo dahil baka mali lang ako ng hinala."

"How long have you been suspecting me?" asked Sky as if that's the only phrase he know to speak.

Malakas na buntong-hininga si Cloud bago tumayo sa kinauupuan n'ya. But he didn't walk towards Sky nor move his feet. Nanatili lamang s'yang nakatayo habang nakatingin kay Sky saka muling nagsalita.

"So long.." he replied, "But I just realized it all recently. That you're still hoping for me."

"Why? Ano ba sa tingin mo ang ginagawa ko?" asked Sky, without looking at his eyes 'cause he clearly just can't, "I tried my best to do so.. sadyang hindi ko makayanan."

"That's why I started to believe that you're still onto me." sagot ni Cloud saka humugot ng malalim na hininga, "Specially a while ago when you sing that song.. ang akala mo ba hindi ko mapapansin?"

"I sang it because I know you'll notice it, Cloud." nagtaas ng tingin si Sky sakanya, "And you actually did. Pero kahit na alam kong naintindihan mo ang sinabi ko.. hindi ko parin maiwasang kabahan at mailang dahil ngayon ay alam mo na ang totoo." he released a loud sigh before getting his courage to speak himself out, "I tried to hide it for so long and I don't even need to explain why because I know you already knew the reason why."

Tinignan ni Cloud ang kabuuan ni Sky. And really, he can tell that Sky was into him. Napalunok ito bago hawakan ang dalawang balikat ni Sky na s'yang ikinagulat n'ya.

"You know that what I think about you is just a friend right, Sky?"

Pakiramdam ni Sky ay naramdaman n'ya at narinig n'ya ang pagkabasag ng puso n'ya. Those simple words of Clouds can make him feel endless emotions.

And what's even more frustrating is that those emotions are all about sadness. There's not a single emotion Sky is feeling that's about happiness or related to it.

Did he.. just got rejected by his friend?

"Sky ayaw kitang paasahin e'. I don't want you to hope for me." said Cloud when Sky remain silent, "And even I understand that it's hard for you to move on. But please do.."

"I tried to, Cloud. Hindi mo na ako dapat pang paalalahanan." muling napayuko si Sky nang maramdaman n'ya na naman ang mga tubig na nagsisimulang mamuo sa mata n'ya, "Hindi mo na ako kelangan pang sabihan kung anong dapat kong gagawin dahil.. alam ko sa sarili ko na sinubukan ko nang kalimutan ang nararamdaman ko dahil kaibigan kita. Dahil ikaw ang pinaka-unang kaibigan ko.."

Cloud bit his lips because although Sky tried to hide his tears, those didn't managed to escape Cloud's sight. And this is what Cloud hates.

Alam n'ya ang kahinaan ni Sky, and that's ofcourse, judgements. Clearly what is he doing is making Sky thinks he's judging him.
