Truth RevealedIt's now Friday. The principal announced to us yesterday evening, that there will be no classes for today due to the fact that all of the teachers has to attend an urgent interview for the press conference. The press conference aims to help other students in the Academy that aren't able to fulfill their financial needs while studying here because of the high expenses and also to talk about the current achievements of Hadeleines Academy.
Our class adviser, Mrs. Deborah Lacsam, already announced to us in our group chat that they are making a project to help financially unstable students. They are planning to talk to the principal about their suggestions and it also includes giving some students a scholarship for them to continue studying. I agree on that too because that will totally be a good help to them. I am so lucky to be part of the Hadeleines Academy since they are doing their very best just to help others.
I have no other things to do here in our house because I already finished them. So, I decided to go to Dad's restaurant to check on him and especially, to talk with Brittany there. I still have so many questions to ask her.
“Hi, Dad!” I greeted him while we are embracing each other. I've missed him.
“Shiela!” He looks so excited when he saw me. “How are you? Are you alright?”
“I'm fine, Dad,” I said and smiled at him.
“That's good to know, Shiela. Anyway, what are you doing here today? Don't you have classes?” I immediately shooked my head.
“No, I don't, Dad. Our principal informed us that they will be attending an interview for the press conference today.”
“Okay, I just want to know. Where's your friends, dear?”
“They are in their house, Dad. Their parents didn't allow them to go out with me since they will be doing some stuffs too. They told me that they'll go watch movies, shopping and bond with their family today. They have to catch up on some things and I totally understand them.”
“That's right, Shiela. We should always prioritize our family before anything else.”
“Yes, Dad. I know that too since Mom taught me about that thing. I am so glad that all the things that she has taught me before, I'm finally able to apply them to my life right now,” he immediately smiled after I said that. He's obviously proud of how Mom raised me rightfully.
“I am so proud of your Mom, Shiela. She still hasn't changed. She managed to take care of you even if I wasn't around to help her,” I smiled.
“I am proud of Mom too, Dad. I have learned so many things from her and all of it helped me a lot right now.”
“Yes, Shiela. Your Mom is your first teacher, you know.”
“You're right, Dad.”
“I'll just get you some foods, Shiela. Just stay here, okay?” I immediately nodded to him.
“Of course, Dad. I still need to talk to Brittany about some important matters later.”
“Okay, Shiela. I'll be back.”
“I will be waiting for you here, Dad.”
