Foreword: This novel is a historic fiction/drama/romance. As you might have already read in the description, it is based in the Achaemenid Persian Empire. Some characters are inspired from true events, others aren't.
The time period will stretch through the Battle of Cunaxa to the Battle of Pelusium. After the end of the Battle of Cunaxa and tying up of all the loose ends with the massacre of the Sumerians, what was the reason which paved way to the Battle of Pelusium? This series shows the bridging of the two battles and the intensity of the two dynamic battles which eroded the entire Mediterranean in crimson, the kingdoms of Egypt, Macedonia and Aryavarta among others. The love, hatred, sins and strengths which influenced it.
As it is a fiction, the story is a retelling of my own and includes characters which are entirely my creation.
This is the first book and occurs after the end of the first battle. The silence before the storm.
