Walking down the aisle seemed so easy looking at it from the outside I was so wrong.
Brilynn, beautifully normal and had chubs to her, she was still very beautiful.
Present time:
I just moved out of my foster home to live with a family I don't even know. They decided to look at this 16 year old and say, "I want her to be my daughter, out of all the people in the system." I wish I knew why, all I need to do is pack up everything I own. Which isn't a lot. I just need to pack up my laptop, clothes, shoes, and bathroom supplies and I'm good. They're picking me up at 8:30 am tomorrow, a Tuesday, great! My foster mom is happy for me, she's only been my foster mom for 9 months, and she really liked me but she already adopted three kids already and adding a fourth is too much, which I get it, I wouldn't be able to handle four teenagers either. I just don't know how I was adopted so fast and without my input.Next day, it's currently 7:50, and I just woke up, time to take a shower. I don't take long, I'm just ready to leave. I don't even know what they look like, what if I don't like them? What if they don't like me?
When it turned 8:30 a limo parked out front, it was weird and strange, especially in this poor place, I live in Easton, Pennsylvania and I live on an alleyway. Nobody can drive past the limo even if they tried. I then heard a knock on the door so ran downstairs to see if it's them. There's a man standing there very professional, in a drivers hat that's black and a nice tuxedo that's black as well.
"Hello Ms. Brilynn Kratcher, follow me, I'll take your bags... I'm Mr. Breeks, I will be taking you to your new home." I give him my bags when he said and he opened the door for me so I could go in.
He puts all of my belongings in the trunk of the limo and he gets into the front seat. He starts up the limo and starts to drive. "Ms. Kratcher? What music do you like to listen to?" He asks, "oh, umm, 2000s throwbacks." He has the screen down so I can see a tablet on the dash board, he clicks a playlist called 2000s hits and it starts to go. It played Rihanna, NeYo, usher, and more.
After some time of driving he spoke again, "There's snacks and drinks on your left, feel free to take anything."
"Thank you, and do you have a first name?" He looks at me through the mirror,
"Yes, but you can call me Mr. Breeks."
"Well as we are driving, I would like to call you by your first name." I pause, "and you can just call me Brilynn, or Bri." I can see he's smiling.
"Okay Brilynn. My name is Marcus." I smile back.
"Well nice to meet you, Marcus." And he smiles and looks back at the highway.
"Marcus? Who adopted me?" I look at him questionable. "This lovely family named the Brian's, and you have a sister name Katti (cat-tee)." I froze. A sister? Is she adopted too? So many questions.
"She's adopted too, Brilynn." Can he read my mind? "Would you like to make a stop for food?" Hmm I wonder if he knew I haven't eaten today.
"Yes, umm, will you be eating too?" I ask as well.
"I don't eat on the job," he replies. Why? I don't get it. He's human, he should eat. "I will eat if you want me to." He answers my thoughts again.
"I would appreciate it."
We drive up to this fancy restaurant, it's called Pier 6 in Boston. When we got there, we sat at the outside patio and waited for the waiter. As we waited, I decided to start up a conversation.
