"Why is it such a big deal? All I did was body slam that kid into the lockers!" Dean exclaimed as you and him walked down the halls, coming back from the principal's office.

"You can't keep doing that" you chuckled.

"You're right Y/N..." Dean playfully shoved you to the side and smiled. You lightly hit his arm and rolled your eyes.

You played for the mighty ducks, and you really enjoyed it. They recruited you onto the team because your skating skills were excellent. You weren't sure at first if hockey was the right thing for you, but after getting the hang of it and making tons of friends, including your best friends Connie and Dean, you decided that you definitely wanted to continue playing with them. Everybody on the team seemed to like you a lot which you were glad about.

You and Dean walked out of the school feeling exhausted. You sighed loudly and slouched over feeling the homework in your backpack weighing you down.

"Don't worry. Only two more weeks left of this place until we're free for the summer!" Dean cheered and raised his hands in the air. You smiled at his happiness and continued walking with him. You perked up a bit when you saw Adam, Luis, Connie, Fulton and Guy walking towards you guys with amused smiles on their faces.

"Y/N!" Connie called and then ran over and hugged you.

"I'm here too!" Dean said.

"Hey guys" Adam said and waved.

You waved back at the boys and walked over to Adam.

"The office? Again?" Adam said to you while looking at Dean who was talking to Guy.

"Yeah, I waited for him this time. He's been in there three times already this week!"

"It's Tuesday!"

"I know!" you said.

You and Adam laughed at the same time, and you looked up to see Guy staring at you. You held eye contact for a second before looking away and continuing to talk to Adam. You felt his eyes on you the whole time.

For some reason, you would always catch Guy staring at you. He had been dating Connie for a while now, but she kept telling you about how she thought the relationship wasn't working. You kept comforting her and telling her that they would be okay, but she didn't seem to care much. She always snapped at him rudely and he just rolled his eyes and walked away angrily. It's how they were all the time at practice and everybody noticed it too. Not only you.

"Gotta go guys!" Luis called as he ran to his mom's car.

"Bye Luis!" you all yelled.

"Me too, see you guys at practice" Dean said.

"See you later Dean" you said.

"Bye Y/N" he smiled and then did some sort of handshake with Fulton before he left.

"Y/N let's walk home now" Connie said and you nodded.

You, Connie, and Guy all lived on the same block, so it was a habit that the three of you walked home together.

"Y/N, I was thinking about having a pool party on the weekend. Would you come?" Connie said to you.

"Yeah Connie! That sounds fun" you said as you arrived in front of her house.

"Am I invited?" Guy asked.

"No" she said and stormed inside of her house.

"What happened?" you asked him already knowing that they probably had another argument.

"She's mad because I told her to go away when Charlie was talking to me. It was a joke though!"

"Did you tell her that it was a joke?"

"Yeah, but she still got upset. Obviously I'm coming to the party" Guy smirked.

You playfully rolled your eyes, "oh yeah? And what if she doesn't let you?"

"You'll let me in" he responded.

"And what if I don't want to?"

He scoffed and there was a short moment of silence until he spoke again.

"So, are you and Dean like a thing now?"

"Me and Dean? Not at all, we're just close friends" you said honestly.

You finally arrived in front of your house.

"See you at practice Guy" you smiled.

"See you Y/N" he said with a smile that caused you to blush.

You didn't want to get flustered because of Guy. You felt too guilty. Whenever Connie would talk about their fights with you, you tried not to think about something he did that made you blush or feel a certain way. He was hers and would never be yours. You tried to pretend their relationship didn't bother you and tried to be as supportive as possible, but if you had to be honest... she was a lucky, lucky girl.
