he stood there at the door, adjusting his dark gloves whilst eyeing out the long queue of people in their early twenties who wanted to get absolutely wasted. he was 6'8, blue hair, in a full black suit. his name was James, he looked about 21, although he was actually just 17. he noticed you, holding up your fake ID - that had gotten you many places and things before, this time wouldn't be different, would it now? - James snatched it out of your hand and stared down at you.
"name." he spoke clearly, with a sense of calmness but with great reassurance.
you hesitated before lying to him, staring into his dark eyes. it sent a shiver down your spine. "Y/N." you said, finally.
"age?"
"19,"
he looked you up and down.
"where are you from, Y/N?"
"uhm.. Newcastle." you knew for sure after you had spoken that you had said the wrong thing.
"oh?"
looking down on you, his long blue hair reflecting on the club lights. he grabbed you by your shirt and lifted you up, carrying you out of the building. you looked up at him while he did this, in his eyes were still the sense of calmness, not rage.
"i'm sorry! please don't call the police!" you cried.
"i'm not going to, calm down dear." he put you down in the alleyway,
as you stood helplessly looking up at the tall man, you couldn't help but notice the bags under his eyes and the pale tone of his skin. it all looked so different in the strobe lights. your thoughts started to wonder, but just as they had gotten interesting they were broken by James' voice.
"you won't let this happen again, darling, will you?"
he held the ID between his index and his middle finger, holding it above your head. you nod,
"right, sorry,"
he smiled, as if you had chosen the 'easy way' other than the 'hard way'.
"thank you. dear."
he crushed the card with his bare hand, then he walked back into the building whilst you stood there in hopeless confusion.
