Theres gaps of land in between each clans borders, common ground for rouges and other animals to pass through peacefully. A large lake in the middle of all clans, territories rely on the small rivers and streams that pass through their territory.
They use smart crows to pass messages and such, since some can speak their language and they can get free meals from doing so.
It takes about a day's walk to reach from one side of the map to the other (EX: west to east, south to north) and a a day and a half/quarter if going from one corner to the opposite (EX: south-east to north-west, south-west to north-east).
Small island in the middle of the lake, hard to get to but not completely impossible.
