Akihito woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. He rubbed his eyes as he stretched his arms, yawning in the process. He reached for his ringing clock and turned the alarm off, hearing a small click as he did.
Nightmare. He thought of the dream he had last night. He smacked his face as he thought of how stupid he was for actually thinking for a second that it was real.
He scanned the place. It was a bedroom, but not his. He was unfamiliar of this place.
Wait. He recalled everything that happened last night. The time he became Charlotte's adoptive brother. When he became part of their family. Explaining why he was in another bedroom. He was in the Edwards Mansion. He felt his heart ache as he recalled this. He massaged his head, he needed to calm down.
He stood up, unwinding himself from the blanket. He needed to change, he was going to school today. But where were his clothes?
There. He saw a closet nearby. He prayed that it was in there as he approached it. He opened the two wooden doors and opened it widely. He heaved a sigh. All of his clothes were neatly piled. The maids must've did all this last night.
He spotted his uniform-scarlet colored pants and a long-sleeved blazer with the school's seal on the right breast, a white polo as an undershirt, and a black neck tie. They had to wear their uniform everyday except for their wash day which was yesterday.
He took a quick shower before he swiftly changed into his uniform and wore his tie. He checked himself as he stared at the tall black framed mirror and buttoned all the buttons on his blazer. He wanted to look formal. He styled his midnight black hair to his preference and smiled internally.
He forgot one more thing-his contacts. He went for the desk near his bed and found its container. He opened it as he took the delicate lens inside and dropped a disinfectant on it before putting it on his right eye. He repeated the same process with his left eye.
The door slammed open, making Akihito flinch and nearly dropping the container. "AKI!!" Charlotte shouted.
She was already in her uniform. It was the same as what he wore only that the girls wore a scarlet colored skirt and black knee socks instead of pants. Charlotte wore white gloves and a Judith and Charles blazer over her blouse.
"You didn't bother to knock." he stated blankly as he placed the container back on the desk.
"Come down and eat breakfast, we're gonna be late at this rate!" she suddenly grabbed his hand and dragged him along with her.
He felt the warmth travel to his face. He had the feeling again. His heart was pounding. He was thankful that his impassive mask hid how he truly felt.
"Walk faster fancy-pants!" she snorted as she dragged Akihito with her along the corridors.
Even though there were already adoptive siblings, Charlotte still called him names. At least it was better than being called "Tsu-baka". He sighed as he thought of this.
"I can walk by myself Imōto-chan." he stated blankly as he removed her grip on him.
He knew that if she continued holding his hand, his face would surely fluster into different shades of pink or red. Although he wanted her to hold his hand, he could never let that happen.
