Just how fast the night changes 🦋

It was cold and dark when it struck 10 past 2. Everything was silent. All Cleo could think about was how jade left. It was the beginning of 2017. when everything started. Days were happy and beautiful. They were young, innocent, and thrilling 9-year-olds. Things started to elevate in 2020. 2017-2020 was cheerful and delightful. They were both obsessed with ice cream and songs. They would play loud music and scream at the top of their voices. They would play and talk together 24/7. They were energetic and would joke around. They would be excited about every small thing and wouldn't do anything without each other. They became best friends and were inseparable. 2020 started becoming grey. They started becoming sluggish and lazy teenagers. when they turned 13 in 2021, Cleo and Jade were always on their phones. They wouldn't play anymore nor talk. They would only talk crap about their other friends. They slowly started losing each other. They became independent and were always spiteful, idle and cold. They would have secret grudges on other people and became bullies. They slowly started to build an attitude and became rebels. This had lasted 3 years. 2024 as they started to grow old. They noticed a change in their own behaviour when they both met at an ice cream parlour. Jade suggested eating together. Slowly they started gaining memories and realised how selfish they were being. They had a long conversation and missed each other so very much. Cleo started noticing how much her life has changed without jade by her side. They told each other everything that each other missed in 3 years! They both began to feel tender and joyful. After a long time, Jade and Cleo had a bright spark on their face. They became best friend again. Things were fine until. Cleo gets a letter at her doorstep. She was excited to read it. Her heart dropped in an instant. The letter said that jade had to leave for college and that she couldn't handle saying goodbye, so she had to do it the hard way. Her heart broke. She was depressed for a whole week until she realised things would eventually change and she has to accept every bit of it. Cleo took it all in and wrote a final letter to jade. Thanking jade for giving her the happiest years of her life. Everything changed for Cleo and Jade in a day. They are now going separate paths following their dreams. They promised each other they would meet at the ice cream parlour 2 years from that day. Will they meet?
