First Encounters

Ed had to make this last run count. His team was behind by just seven points. He had worked it all out in his mind. They' ed fake a handoff from Dave, the quarterback, and he'd be wide open to the left in the end zone, or just past the WW2 as it did, and believe it or not, without any evil metahuman activity whatsoever. Even they needed to take a break sometimes. The ball is hiked and everyone breaks formation. The pass is faked, and Ed was heading for the end zone, but unfortunately with some husky guy who just wanted to get into the game. But Ed was determined to show this overzealous new guy how to play some football. However, it's what happened next that would throw the entire day off-kilter. Losing his footing, he is shoved by the new guy, which causes Ed to fall to the ground, missing the pass altogether, but suddenly feeling a very sharp stinging pain racing under his left arm, from his wrist, continuing all the way to his mid tricep. "What the hell man !!" But Ed's demands for a personal foul would go unheard by the new guy, as he looked at Ed's opened wound beginning to spew blood from its opening. "Dude what's your problem?!" Dave the quarterback said, as he raced over, shoving the new guy. Hey, guys check this out !" One of the other players said as he pointed to a three-inch diamond-like crystal protruding from the grass. "Dude is that a Diamond ?!! The other players had all begun to look upon the strange stone, totally forgetting about their fallen friend who, by this time, was growing to get somewhat agitated by his comrade's thoughtlessness. "Uh guys, someone wants to get me a to the E.R.! Still bleeding here !" As the days pressed on, world media reports were popping up all over the world about the strange crystals. In London, Paris, Lebanon, Johannesburg, Prague, Kyoto, Shang hi, the crystals had become a sight of awesome wonder, and the latest craze. However, by this time, they were as tall as a six-story building. Crowds had begun gathering around them, mesmerized by their massive size, and clarity. But, it's what happened next that altered lives all over the world. Simultaneously, they all began to slowly turn in slow counter-clockwise motion. And, anyone who stood before them, was instantly taken back, to periods in their lives of sadness, joy, triumph, or fear. Physically, they were unable to move from their positions. When word had reached the Alpha Force back in the states, They were already preparing to meet the task. "What's so special about a big diamond, I mean what's got everyone so captivated." Gideon, the teen indestructible powerhouse asked looking at the 3D information table. Jones couldn't give a reply, nor could any other members. As the computer gave them specifics the conclusion that drawn was they, the crystals were not from the earth at all, and most definitely something they'd never encountered on any level.
