The Secret Riddle

5: Bonding with the Prefects

Today is the day where we have to bond with the Prefect's, which is what I have been dreading. I sigh and go have a quick shower. I step out and dry myself. I find an outfit to wear. I slide on ripped jeans and a yellow top. I slide on vans and leave my hair down. I walk outside and go down to the Great Hall. I sit down and grab some toast and cereal. I take some pumpkin juice and dig in. Bill walks over and sits across from me. "Morning, I'll walk with you to Hogsmeade. Felicity will join us" said Bill. I nod. 

Once we finish, we meet up with Felicity and leave. "So, Aspen, how come you stayed under the radar but got picked up to be a Prefect?" asked Felicity. "No clue. I guess I just worked hard" I said. "You did, Dumbledore told us" said Felicity, pushing her hair behind her ears. I just look around and sigh. "Anyway, it's just us drinking and talking, also some games back at the school" said Felicity. I nod and we get to the Three Broomsticks. We go inside and everyone is already there. We sit down and the drinks comes over. 

Charlie sits across from me. "How is life, Aspen?" asked Charlie. "Good. Boring but good" I said. I play with the rings on my finger and smile. Bill glances at us. "Alright, how about we play truth or dare" said Bill. Everyone agrees. "Aspen, truth or dare" said Bill. "Truth" I said, better to be safe than sorry. "OK, who are your best friends?" asked Bill. "Um... Fred and George" I said, smiling. "Good, they need someone like you" said Bill. I just nod and Bill smirks. "Charlie, truth or dare" said Bill. "Dare" said Charlie. "Tell someone in here that you have a tail and then proceed to act like a cow" said Bill. I giggle and Charlie goes ahead to do it. I laugh and Bill smiles. 

We finish up and head back to the school for some more games. We go to a grassy area and sit down. Bill glances around and smiles. "This is great, right? To work together, we need to bond" said Bill. "Well, it was my idea but ya know" said Felicity. I laugh and look away. I look around and Charlie is looking somewhere. I glance behind me and Lucy is standing there. "So, instead of games, we're just gonna end it. It's getting near dinner time" said Felicity. We nod and Charlie walks over to Lucy and kisses her. I sigh and Bill walks over. "Hey everything will be fine, trust me" said Bill. I nod. "How long will I feel like this?" I ask. "I don't know, Aspen. One thing I know for sure, if it's meant to be it will happen" said Bill.

We head to the Great Hall and settle for dinner. I watch Charlie and Lucy walk inside. I sigh and look away. They sure will be official soon. I take a bite of my chicken and talk with Fred and George. I finish and head to the library. I do my homework and then I go back to the common room. I go to my bed and change into my pyjama's. I slide under the covers and instantly fall asleep.

Today was good, it was fun.
