Krista was an ordinary girl, never wanted to be famous, never wanted money or jewels.
She only wanted true love like any other hopeless romantic. But what Krista didnt know was she would find it, and it would tear her apart.
But our story begins with coffee:
"I would like a medium mocha-frap please," Krista asked the barista, giving her 5 pounds.
"Yeah yeah, whatevah," The teenage girl replied, grabbing the money out of her hand and throwing it in the register.
"Excuse me, but you should be a bit more kind too someone who's not from here," A deep voice said from behind Krista, and she spun around.
"How do you know I'm not from here?" She asked him, confused he would know such a thing.
"Your accent implies your from America," He answered easily, and gave her a cheeky smile.
"Oh," She blushed and turned back around, waiting for her coffee.
"It's okay, I didn't mean to scare you off like that. I'm Finn harries, perhaps you've heard of my twin brother, Jack?" His gentle voice rang through her ears.
"Nope, I apologize, I'm new here, and exchange student from Harvard school going to Oxford for a year," Krista decided she should make some new friends, even if she was only here for a year.
"Oxford! impressive, I go to Uni, different story there, you should hear it sometime," He suggested.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She said with a coy smile.
"It means you should go on a date with me," He smirked, prepared for any abusive reaction she might give.
"But i don't even know you!" She protested, absentmindedly grabbing her coffee.
"Well then, get to know me, over coffee," He said, grabbing the other coffee.
She just lightly laughed and shook her head in a playful manner.
"Fine, but only because your cute," She agreed with a smile on her face.
"Yes!" He boomed while fist-pumping the air.
"Oh, shut up. Let's grab a table." Krista said, leading him to a table in the back.
"Oh, getting us secluded are you?" He joked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Again, shut up!" She laughed, sitting down.
She took a sip of her coffee and almost spit it out.
"What is in this! I ordered a mocha-frap, not a caramel macchiato!" She pushed the coffee in front of her with disgust.
"I think that'd be mine, and this yours," Finn said, trading her coffee.
She took a sip, and immediately smiled.
"Yeah, I suppose they got the order mixed up." Krista continued to sip her coffee.
"So, tell me about yourself," Krista said, giving him an interested look.
"Well, I'm a twin, and my brother jack makes you tube videos, and I'm in them. I go to uni, and people have told me I'm the better brother."
"hm, interesting. I'm from California, have a brother and sister, do NOT make you tube videos, and happen to be a hopeless romantic," Krista blushed and hid her face at that last part.
"Don't be ashamed, I am too, to be honest." Finn said, looking at his feet.
"You could be my romance buddy," Krista said, still a bit embarressed.
"Yeah, so um, got a cell phone?" He asked her, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah.... Here, put your number in," Krista nodded, handing him her phone, also eager to move topics.
Finn took the phone and tapped in his cell, and put himself under 'romance buddy'. Krista did the same with his phone and both stood up when they were finished.
"It has been amazing meeting you, and I'll text you soon, but I have to go. Scheduled for an appointment with my brother at lunch," Finn said, whilst kissing her hand.
Krista blushed and shook her head.
"Who does that anymore? Oh well, its fine. I hope to see you too Finn. Bye!" She said, grabbing her purse.
"Bye Krista," And with that, he walked out the shop.
"Huh," She thought, grabbing her coffee. "Who ever thought I'd go on a date with a stranger who I switched coffee with?"
