Chapter One "I Hope I Like Someone"

Indi's POV

I was in my room, thinking, my mind getting lost.

Until I heard a "Indi!"

That was my father calling me.

"On my way!" I called back.

I stood up and walked out of my room and stright to the throne room.

At the throne room sat my fathers. King Lachlan and King/Queen Vikk(#VikkLan) with the Duke who was named Jerome.

"Good morning." I said.

"Good morning Princess Indi." Jerome said.

He bowed whlie I crusedy.

I walked up to my fathers and sat down with them.

"Shall I leave?" Duke Jerome asked.

"No we need you to explain with us." My father Lachlan said.

"Sweet heart do you how old you are now?" My father Vikk asked.

"I'm sixteen." I said.

"Thats right and what happens when you turn eighteen?" Lachlan asked me.

"Marriage." I told him.

I was getting to point where I had no idea what we were talking about.

"Duke Jerome will searching for Princes to marry you." Vikk told me.

"But I am not eighteen." I said.

"True, but we want to pick your husband early, so Duke Jerome is going to go and look for them." Lachlan said.

"I will hopeful be back tomorrow." Jerome said.

"Take your time to pick them," Vikk started, "I want to make sure my daughter likes them."

"I will see you tomorrow." Jerome said as he left.

"You can go back to your room my dear." Lachlan said.

"Yes father." I said.

"Indi?" Vikk said.

"Make sure you wear something fitting."

I nodded my head and went back into my room.

Why do I have to pick my husband now? It couldnt wait until I'm seventeen?

I laid down on my bed.

A few mintues past, and I heard a knock at my door.

"Come in." I said.

A girl opened the door. It was Sydney, my best friend and my sister with Lizzy my other sister following behind her.

"Indi you look so mad." Sydney said.

I sat up and looked at her.

"I'm picking my husband tomorrow." I told them.

"This early?" Lizzy asked.

"Papa Lachy said so." I said.

"Along with Papa Vikk?" Syd asked.

"Yes along with Papa Vikk." I said.

I heard the door open, and we saw Papa Lachy and Papa Vikk.

"Come girls its time for some sleep. You really need your sleep." Papa Lachy said while looking at me.

"Yes father, Goodnight." I said.

"Goodnight my little adventurer." Papa Vikk said.

When they were gone I looked out my window and thought to myself. 'I hope i like someone.' I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
