Chapter 1 - Pilot 🕊️

8:40 A.M

You woke up with that same annoying and eardrum shattering alarm clock of yours. The sunlight that entered your room irritated you to the length that you practically threw yourself out of the bed to close them shut.

It was your mother's habit to slid the curtains open every morning to let fresh air fill the room. She found it refreshing. You found it harassing.

Anyways, after a lazy shower to refresh yourself, you made your way down to the kitchen. Your parents were sitting on the dining table waiting for you to have breakfast.

You joined them for a silent meal. You were on vacation before next semester of your med school so your mother asked you to buy some groceries along with some more of your reference books.

You arrived at the nearest bookstore and got yourself a brand new human anatomy reference book. You smiled thinking how you'll be burying your head deep inside the book for the next few months.

Grocery store was your next stop and your boring task of filing up the basket started. After getting everything, you joined the line to pay for the items.

"Hey perv!! Have you not seen sexy legs before? Take your eyes off before I poke them out of their sockets" a loud sound attracted your attention along with everyone else in the section.

It was your middle school classmate, Aria and apparently she was shouting at a 6 YEAR OLD BABY who looked at her with innocent puppy eyes, totally oblivious to the happenings of his surrounding.

The baby's mother came and there started a whole new argument between the two crazy ladies. As last, the baby boy started crying and his mother took him away from Aria.

Before she could see you, you averted your gaze to anywhere but her. She picked up her bag and stared moving towards the snack section when the dreaded thing happened.

She saw you.

"Hi. Y/N. You're Lee Y/N right? Woah man you've grown into someone totally unpredictable" she said gasping at your changed personality.

Well you haven't changed a lot, you just grew your hair long, replaced your glasses with contacts and the most work you did was on your personality and clothing.

You were not so different but not to similar to the older you and you were proud of yourself. You smiled mentally when she suddenly complimented you and thanked her, out loud.

"How's life? What up with the golden girl of Mingde High?" she asked you.

You told her about your medical school and things. She also shared that she will be starting college in a month. You talked a little more before she left the store.

You took a deep relaxing breath and pushed your cart to the billing counter when your eyes fell upon a piece of paper on the ground.

You picked it up and immediately recognized it to be the one sticking out of Aria's pocket a minute ago. You turned to search for the girl but she was nowhere in sight. Vanished like air.

You open the paper and found out it to be a brochure. A 10 days trip to "Crown Hill". It was in Jeju Island and it was the most famous trekking site in the whole country that you have dreamt of visiting sometime.

Your heart shattered at the Golden opportunity infront of you thinking you were never going to get this chance again and stop being the nerd you were for a while to go out and have fun.

Disheartened, you threw the paper inside your bag and walked to the cashier.

After getting back, you placed the groceries on the kitchen counter and went straight to your room, ignoring your mother's calls deliberately and hid yourself into the scent of the new book you bought an hour ago.
