I sit on the edge of my bed, my leg shaking.

I'm so nervous, I mean I'm 17 and he's 18. He's my best friends brother. These lies are gonna be found out soon by kat.

These 3 minutes are the longest ever!

"Time." Kat says, "look if you are, I'm here with you all the way as an auntie, if your parents kick you out, live with me and Anthony I guess. But he'll just be there he won't care for the baby so it'll just be me and you, maybe Chloe, we'll see."

Anthony too I guess.
"Wait  Anthony is leaving for college soon, we'll be free."

Oh yeah he's leaving. Do I tell him still?

"I love you!" I hug her gratefully even if it's not exactly what I want

"Wait are you gonna keep it?"

I sniffle, "yeah I guess, it shouldn't have to be punished for my stupidity." Very stupid stupidity.

She reaches over and gives it to me without looking.

I pause

Then flip it.

"Positive."

"Okay. Oh wow. OKAY! YES YAY! I'm really happy and here for you! OMG!" She says jumping

I start jumping with her. This is supposed to be a great thing, and you know what it is!

"I'm strangely really happy!" I say

"Well don't you worry! I'm gonna be the best auntie this kid has ever seen!" I truly want to believe her but when she finds out who the dad really is, I know she'll back down I'll be left because Anthony won't want nothing to wreck his rep I mean he's lying to everyone, he's all like '7girls' when it's only been one, me.

"Ok ok." We sit down, "serious now. Maybe it's a false positive, should I book an appointment?"

"Yeah I wanna know how far you are, maybe it isn't mystery-never-coming-back dude. Could be any other guy?"

That's true..... no.... It's definitely Anthony's.

"I'll book one later..... I'm... I'm pregnant. Swear you won't tell anyone!" I warn

"Obviously! I am not sharing auntie with ANYONE!"

I sigh in relief then lay back on my bed

Kat hides my tests away then I don't hear any noise

"Kat? You good?" I call

"Why's Anthony's jumper here?" She asks sternly

Well shit! His dumb jumper from earlier.

"Oh yeah he gave it to me because I looked cold!" I act like he's being an idiot, "I'm sorry kat but what the hell is up with your brother?"

"I just don't know...." She says as she tried to think hard, "well I'm just glad not to find his underwear here or we'll be having issues!"

I laugh awkwardly, "yeah just give it back to him, why would I need it" I laugh

She packs up  and leaves I go down for dinner with my family.

"Hello Leah, just saw kat leave, you two have fun?" Dad asks

"Yeah lots." Kinda

"Well how's school Leah? Doing better?" My mom asks
