Simone admired the picture frames on the walls as she walked through the hallway she took earlier while going to change in Charlie's laundry room.

The family must be a really chirpy one, thought Simone to herself as most of them were filled with laughter and goofy vibes.

With the different faces she saw on different frames, Simone figured the family was a large one. But with how quiet the house was, she wondered where the rest were, except they've gone out? Or maybe he just lived alone?

Anyways, there were many possibilities and since it was a weekend, Simone understood families liked to spend time together. But then, she wondered why Mr. Reides... Charlie rather, was alone tho?

Seeing the pictures kind of reminded Simone of her childhood years, Except her family wasn't as large in comparison.

Her parternal grandparents were both dead and since she was closer to her dad's family than mum's, the family ties were small.

Dad had only one sibling, his older sister, Lilian Richards, who now resided in Australia.

As ambitious as Aunt Lilian was, she was also a very carefree woman who didn't hesitate to take every pleasure that life had to offer. Reasons why she never ever settled down to get married.

"What if you ever find a guy you really love but eventually breaks your heart?"

"I don't think that day will ever come honey, but if ever such an obnoxious thing happens to yours truly...hmm."

Simone chuckled as her aunt grimaced in thought.

"I'd break his legs so he'll never move on to another woman before I'd finally destroy his life."

Simone smiled at the fond memory as she remembered having so much fun during the times Aunt Lilian came to visit.

Lilian Richards was the funniest woman Simone had ever met. Except for the looks and ambitiousness, Her and Dad were stark opposites. Dad was the calm sea while Aunt Lilian was spitfire.

Pulling away from her thoughts, Simone quickly checked the time on her wristwatch wandering who Charlie's guest was.

It was getting late and either Matthew or Frodd should have called by now, letting her know they were around the area. She had called earlier while in the laundry room so they'd come to pick her up.

"Move out of my way right now!"

Simone turned abruptly at the harsh tone sounding somewhere from where she came from.

The living room.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?"

Simone heard Charlie's voice as she fully turned back to move in the direction she was previously coming from.

Did something happen between him and his guest? Simone wondered as she edged closer to the living room.

From the way things were going, Simone figured it may lead to a fight.

She peeped to see who the other guy was but all she could see was Charlie's broad back, obstructing her view.

Should she intervene?

Well she'd just wait and see how far things would go. She didn't want to end up adding more flames to the heat.

"What's your problem?"
