Things I hate about Wattpad

My opinions

A/N I have many problems with how Wattpad is so this is them if you don't like them I don't really care but I will read why not but if they are rude I'll delete them if you agree you can say so.(sorry if my punctuation is bad I'm 18 and still horrible at this but I try)

1.the buying of premium stories wattpad and the authors deem "a amazing story" I've read many of them before this premium bullcrap and a hole bunch a really bad and I've gone through comments on the chapters you can read for free and seen comment saying "why would I buy this story?its not good" now I wouldn't have such a problem with this if for say a story that costs 165 coins if I want to get this for free I have to watch 3 ads a day to get 3 coins this mean I'd have to watch 3 ads a day for 55 days or be forced to buy 2.99USD with the 30% tax that the App Store/google play store charge for a total of 3.89 USD.if it was you watch an ad you get 5 coins that's 15 coins a day making me only have to watch 3 ads a day for 11 days but I just think this system is dumb but you might say "oh it's to make the authors money and publishing their book would cost a lot and it might not even be published so this is a way for them to get money"if you need money so badly that you have to charge for your story's then get a freaking job.oh and the fact that you have to be invited to join the program.this is just my opinion sorry if I offended anyone but I honestly don't give a crap

2.the fact that the site/apps story's aren't moderated such as stories that promote unhealthy/abusive relationships like a lot of stories in the werewolf category do(and this is coming from a guy that loves werewolf story's) and the fact that the content guidelines state that Wattpad will take down stories including explicit sex, self-harm or graphic violence that aren't marked as mature, but just a cursory look through the "hot romance" list reveals many stories that violate these guidelines. And nothing is done about it same with the fact that some of those story's include explicit sexual content with underage male/females this is wrong I've reported many of these story's yet one I reportedly year ago is still up please tell me why the heck the people that are supposed to overlook this site and app think this is acceptable?

3.I am not enthused about a lot of wattpad features like for example if I look up say a werewolf story that say I really like (just pick a random one that you like) one day I can read the entire story the next day it could say something like "This book is now published I've taken down the last 10 chapters to adhere to copyright rules" there are a number of problems with this 1.If you publish your write it the copyright doesn't suddenly belong to someone else no it's your writing the copyright will always belong to you 2.after look at over 30 recommended publishers I've not once seen a thing saying "if you publish this you have to take down this many chapters if it's on a site"like wattpad or FanFiction.Net Unless you can point me toward where they got this idea from I'd like to hear it.also the fact that when I read on my phone on wattpad I have to watch an ad after every chapter you might say "oh  that gives money to the writer" I call bull because you get money if you become a part of that stupid paid story's thing why would they pay an author who has say 1 story that is unfinished and hasn't been updated in 4 flipping years? Answer they wouldn't.

4.another few things that,in my opinion should,be added to this app and site 1.more specific categories and 2.the ability to filter incomplete story's from the top story's if I'm not searching things up I hate seeing this great story that I think will be really good then seeing that it is incomplete and hasn't been updated in 2 years like how is that an amazing story?why would that be in like 10th place over a story that is arguably better and completed?

5.something I absolutely hate is the fact that I could not be looking up a certain type of story like,say, a BTS story 1.I hate that band why would I be reading it? Yet here you are popping up in my recommended story's?that makes no sense if your going to automatically recommend story why would you put story's there I've never once put any interest in? Same with most fan-fiction story's on here I don't read them because most aren't good at all and they're premise is stupid.

That's all I can think of currently (6/19/21) now I'm going to sleep because I have a headache.
