After the plane landed, Taehyung and I; went to the hotel. We hurried our pace since we didn't know if ARMYs would be around the place; after all, we wanted to rest and have some time to relax. But as soon as we arrived, both of us began to organize the room. We put our clothes in order before resting.
Right now, I'm lying down on the bed with Taehyung. He's resting his head on my lap as I'm checking tonight's plan and the surprise I prepared for Taehyung. My boyfriend is also checking his phone, probably chatting with Jimin and letting him know that we are in New York.
I caressed Taehyung's hair while humming softly. He immediately smiled before holding my hand and kissing it.
-Jimin is doing well; he said that everyone is glad that we arrived safely. – Taehyung mentioned before leaving his phone aside, then playing with my fingers.
-That's a relief! Now, we can enjoy our vacation more than before. – I pointed out while texting Jodie, letting her know that everything is going well.
-I guess so, but aren't you slightly upset that our plans got ruined? I wanted to stay at home and be with you. – Taehyung admitted before looking back at me.
I slightly chuckled before placing my phone away, then focusing on Taehyung. -We can have fun in New York as well, and you wanted to come too. So, don't worry about it. – I said before patting Taehyung's head.
-Do you have something in mind? – Taehyung asked while looking suspiciously at me.
-Hey! I wanted it to be a surprise! – I chuckled before slapping Taehyung's side as he laughed at my reaction.
-Did I guess it right? – Taehyung questioned, which I nodded for in response. -Well, what do you want to do? – Taehyung curiously asked.
-I made a reservation in a restaurant. It's an elegant one, but I know you will enjoy the menu. – I disclosed, then noticing Taehyung's eyes illuminating. -What? Are you happy? – I asked while holding Taehyung's chin.
Taehyung nodded before getting up and sitting next to me. He gently stroked my hair before holding me against him. -I will surprise you one of these days too. – Taehyung assured me.
-I know you will, Tae. That's why I hurried to make the first surprise of the trip. – I admitted, causing Taehyung to laugh at my reaction.
-Cute. – Taehyung murmured before snuggling beside me. I took a deep breath while letting him cuddle me, enjoying his presence and his calmness. -Jungkook, can I ask you something? – Taehyung questioned, which I nodded for in response.
-What is it? – I asked.
-Would you have stayed with me regardless of Jodie's decision? What if she disagreed with us? – Taehyung questioned, making me look at him, confused.
-Why are you asking? – I said.
-Answer me. – Taehyung insisted.
-Taehyung. – I murmured, but he looked at me, searching for an answer. So, I took a deep breath and nodded. -I wouldn't let anybody take you away. But I don't understand why you are asking me that right now. Everything is going well for once. – I pointed out before I felt Taehyung's grip tightening.
-Honestly, I got scared of losing you after fighting with Jodie. She was overprotective and didn't want to listen to anything that I was saying, so I was frightened. – Taehyung admitted before sightly smiling, shortly caressing my temple. -I only wanted to know how you felt if nothing went out as everyone hoped. – Taehyung said.
-How could I let you go because of that, huh? I'm the first one to want to keep you, so don't think that I would leave you. – I sincerely spoke while looking at Taehyung, who immediately smiled at me before hugging me tightly.
*Nighttime*
Taehyung and I got ready for our reservation. We dressed according to the formal code and went to the restaurant. The night began like any other, ordering some food, waiting for it while talking between us, and then started to eat. Between laughs and a pleasant time, our night continued its course. And the worries didn't disturb us. However, I still have Taehyung's talk inside my thoughts; after all, I didn't expect him to ask those questions to me.
-Kook. – I heard Taehyung say, making me focus on the current situation. -What would you like to do in the last month of our vacation season? – Taehyung asked as he continued to eat.
-Hmm, I'm not sure; perhaps we can travel again after staying some days in New York. – I suggested, which Taehyung nodded for in response.
-Alone or with the members? – Taehyung questioned.
-Both of us, Tae. Remember that our friends are traveling with Jodie. – I pointed out before eating some more.
-We can steal them and leave Jodie alone with Jimin-hyung. – Taehyung chuckled, making me shake my head over.
-You are playing with fire, Tae. – I chuckled.
-It's only an idea that popped inside my head. – Taehyung claimed before serving himself more wine.
-Hey, don't drink too much in here. You also want to have wine in the hotel room. – I told Taehyung, but he only rolled his eyes and served himself half of the glass. -Tae! – I chuckled while watching the amount of wine in his glass.
-That's for you! – Taehyung spoke before leaving the glass in front of me, then taking the other one and filling it up as well.
-You honestly want us to get drunk, huh? – I questioned before holding the glass in my hand.
-Cheers! – Taehyung ignored my inquiry as he toasted with me, then drinking the wine. I rolled my eyes and followed his game. But when I put my glass down, I noticed that Taehyung almost finished his wine.
-It wasn't a shot, genius! – I chuckled before cutting some of the beef from my plate, then feeding it to Taehyung. -There, eat instead of attempting to get drunk. – I told Taehyung, which caused him to chuckle immediately.
Taehyung ate the piece I gave him before taking my hand. -Tomorrow, can we go out and walk around the streets? I want to take photos around the city, what do you say? – Taehyung asked.
I nodded. -It might be cold outside, so don't forget to wear cozy clothes. – I told Taehyung.
-Yah! I know that, Kook. You are acting like if you were the oldest one here. – Taehyung complained, causing me to chuckle at his words. Then, I caressed his hand before he fed me some of his food. -There! You are a baby again. – Taehyung teased, feeling accomplished while looking at me.
I stared at Taehyung, our eyes meeting as we continue to eat and giggle. I can't deny that I'm feeling happier as I see him better. What happened back at home hurt Taehyung in ways I've never seen; however, I'm glad that I was there to hold his hand and guide him as much as possible. It makes me feel like the oldest one, as Taehyung just said, but honestly, he's the one constantly protecting me. He doesn't care to go against everyone, only to stay with me, and that's something I'm always grateful for when I think about him.
-Tae. – I called his name, causing my boyfriend to look at me with a mouthful of food. -I love you. – I spoke, blushing at my sudden confession.
