[New York, United States]

*Later that evening*

-Taehyung's POV-

I got out of the bathroom after taking a shower. I'm drying my hair with the towel as I find Jungkook in front of my eyes. He's standing outside on the balcony while looking at the city. I smiled at the view, feeling grateful that I'm here in New York with the person I cherish the most. Gradually, I left the towel on the chair and approached Jungkook from behind, soon wrapping my arms around his waist as he let his head rest on my shoulder.

-You smell nice. – Jungkook softly spoke while keeping his eyes on the city.

-Thanks. – I smiled before holding Jungkook tighter, causing him to look back at me.

-Did you enjoy our evening? – Jungkook asked while caressing my hands.

-Of course, you prepared everything for us. – I spoke while remembering the delicious food we had and the fun time at the restaurant. -And in the end, I didn't get drunk. – I pointed out before chuckling.

-No, but you did drink a lot. – Jungkook mentioned before taking a deep breath, then turning around to look at me and surround my neck with his arms. -It was a fun night indeed. – Jungkook said while smiling at me.

-It sure was, but tomorrow we'll have fun during the morning. – I reminded Jungkook, who nodded in response to my words.

-But don't wake me up too early; you know that sometimes I can't stand up. – Jungkook pouted.

-Alright. I won't wake you up so soon, but you have to wear cozy clothes. – I told Jungkook, using the identical words from this evening's dinner.

Jungkook scoffed before taking my hand, immediately taking me back to the room. He closed the balcony doors before we rested on the mattress. We stayed there while looking at each other, and then Jungkook began to play with my hair.

He might be thinking of something.

-Are you alright? – I asked while watching Jungkook spacing out.

-When we arrived at the hotel room, you mentioned something regarding Jimin and Jodie. And I want to know if you feel all right. – Jungkook sincerely spoke, making me look away from him.

-Honestly, I hoped to leave these thoughts behind because I didn't want you to ask. But now that you noticed my worries, I have to talk truthfully. – I replied before taking a deep breath, briefly looking back at Jungkook. -I've felt worried about Jimin and Jodie. When we fought, I mentioned things that I shouldn't have, and now I wonder if Jimin took those words to heart. I never intended to hurt somebody, but I was so angry and couldn't understand my sister's reasoning. – I explained while recalling the things I exposed during my argument with Jodie.

-Jimin-hyung understands the position both of you had in this situation, and I'm sure that he doesn't blame you for the things you said. – Jungkook spoke before sighing. -When we planned this argument, all of our hyungs knew the consequences, and even Jimin was aware of it. So, you don't need to blame everything on yourself. – Jungkook sincerely said while caressing my head.

-Do you honestly think so? – I questioned, concerned.

He nodded. -Tae, I talked with Jodie before we left, and she assured me that everything's going well with Jimin-hyung. – Jungkook mentioned, attempting to calm me down.

-But what I said was hurtful, Jungkook. And everything got exposed in front of Jimin, and I feel awful after seeing the outcome. – I admitted before closing my eyes, feeling tired about this situation.

-Nobody blames you for what happened, okay? You are overthinking the words you said because Jodie isn't against us anymore. – Jungkook pointed out before I snuggled closer to him, finding comfort against his side. He smiled at me before kissing my head while surrounding me between his arms. -What scares you, tiger? Huh? – Jungkook softly questioned.

-I don't want Jodie to break up with Jimin. – I revealed as my tears began to gather, briefly falling down my cheeks.

I can't control it; the past keeps coming back, attacking me without any warning.

Jungkook cleaned my tears with his fingers before pulling me closer, hugging my head against his chest. I held onto Jungkook's shirt while trying to hide my face, not wanting to show my vulnerability.

-Tae, it's alright. – Jungkook sweetly spoke while stroking my hair. -I know it's a lot to take, and I don't blame you for feeling concerned. Everyone worries about Jimin-hyung's relationship, but I'm sure they'll make it work. – Jungkook reassured me.

I took a deep breath before getting apart from Jungkook, and then, I cleaned my tears and tried to compose myself. Jungkook waited for me to say something, but at this point, I said it all. Eventually, I glanced at my boyfriend and began caressing his long hair, causing me to release a subtle smile.

-I know it's long. Do you want me to cut it? – Jungkook asked, trying to cheer me up. I shook my head at his inquiry before closing my eyes. -Are you okay? – Jungkook questioned while caressing my arm.

-I have many thoughts inside my head. But nothing new, Kookie. – I sighed before I felt how Jungkook began to cover my body with the blankets, then getting towards me while hugging me.

-I'm here, you can tell me. – Jungkook whispered.

I shook my head. -I said everything I had to, Jungkook. Besides, you are my boyfriend, not a therapist. – I claimed, causing Jungkook to chuckle slightly.

-You don't need that; you are only feeling stressed about the situation, Tae. – Jungkook pointed out, which I nodded for in response.

-Yes, it might be that. – I answered before taking a deep breath, feeling sleepy by the second. But briefly, I started to hum and sing a melody, trying to put both of us to sleep.

The first melody that popped into my head was "Blue & Grey." It's a melancholic song but has a pretty sound with acoustics. Jungkook immediately recognized it and began to follow my singing, making me smile and feel calmer.

-Get some sleep, okay? – I whispered near Jungkook's ear while caressing his hair. He didn't stop singing as I continued to hum, but gradually, his voice softened while his embrace on me appeared again. After a few seconds, Jungkook closed his eyes and started to sleep. I looked at my boyfriend before pecking his lips, happily enjoying his presence.

-You worry too much about me. But you don't have to because no matter what happens, I will never let you go. – I murmured while admiring Jungkook.

Did Yoongi-hyung honestly dislike this? I highly doubt it. So, I wonder if there was another reason behind your breakup.

I sighed while thinking a million things inside my head, but I kept my eyes on Jungkook before closing my eyes and letting my mind rest at last. I held my boyfriend close to me, getting comfortable under his embrace.

-I love you too. – Jungkook sleepily said, making me smile at his words.

-Sleep. – I murmured.

-Sleep with me. – Jungkook complained.

-I'm here. – I chuckled.

-Closer. – Jungkook demanded before placing his face close to mine.

-Better? – I asked while smiling at Jungkook.

-Yes. – Jungkook spoke before grinning. -Goodnight, Tae. – Jungkook sleepily spoke while getting comfortable against the pillow.

-Sweet dreams, Jungkook. – I whispered before closing my eyes, feeling safe beside Jungkook.
