Prophecy

Chapter 1

        Daiki sat in his small, crowded room, reading a small book. It was entitled 'Acient Legends Of Avalon'. This was a fairly interesting book. It told about many heroes, such as the elven archer named Choyo who, with some help defeated the great overlord of Avalon. Daiki flipped through the book and stopped at a very important story. For reading this story, would cause an ultimate change in his life. He smiled and decided to read the story. This story was utterly and painfully short, about a paragraph long. This story depicted a person who naturally helped people. Then something happened, that person... began to think evil thoughts. And was to become the greatest villan in the world. Daiki dwelled on this. Certainly the story should have been longer, and more descriptive, but it was neither. He stared at the last page of the book for a few seconds. Then a tiny ink blotch began to transorm into a word... then a sentence. Daiki made a shocked face. The sentence, was short, like the story, but extremely frightening. The sentence read: "It is you.". Those three words, so painful and mortifying. Soon after Daiki saw it, it dissapered as soon as it came. Daiki shook his head. "It must be invisible ink." he began "Aru must have been playing a trick on me. Yea that's it." Daiki said, getting under the covers and beginning to go to sleep.

        The next morning, the room looked darker than usual, and Daiki's dog had stayed curled on his bed in the corner of the room. Daiki slowly walked to the kitchen, noicing his roomate, Aru was boringly pouring cereal in his bowl. "What did you do to my book?" Daiki asked, slightly angry. Aru looked up at Daiki, his eyes looked gray and emotionless. "I didn't do anything." Aru said, in the same flat tone he spoke in when he was irritated. "Are you sure?" Daiki asked once more. "Yes, i am sure." Aru replied. This fact haunted Daiki's head for quite a while. After having some cereal, Daiki headed off for school.
