(Y/n pov)

A new year a new beginning. New students for mother's academy are arriving today and she insisted me to be very welcoming. It's none of my business really but what does mother even gain from helping these wannabe witches?

"Y/n hurry up! I want the brand new girls to feel welcome"

Mother yelled

"I'll be ready, gimme a second!"

I yelled back, but the truth is I wasn't.

I've never cared about mother's academy nor the witch stuff. Sure, making things float in the air with my mind is fun but I wouldn't consider it as an actual hobby.

"Y/n hurry up or I'll be the one to make you ready!"

Mother yelled

"Coming!"

I yelled as I ran downstairs.

Finally I reached the final step of the stairs. I looked up as my eyes met every single person in the room.

The embarrassment I felt was priceless. Every single eye my eye met made me want to hide in a worm hole forever!

My mother breaking the silence, introduced me to everyone.

"Everybody, this is my daughter, y/n"

Mother said.

All eyes were on me.

"Um, hi?"

I said as I forced myself to smile

"Hi"

All of them replied back.

Silence occurs again until aunt Myrtle excused herself to show the classroom.

All of them left as I was the only one in the hallway. I took a deep breathe and sighed.

THE FOLLOWING DAY

I still can't believe my first impression was embarrassing! All I want to do is stay in my room forever. Well, that was my original plan until mother asked me to substitute for her. Me? Substituting? Hell no. I've had enough embarrassment already, but being the obeying daughter that I am said yes. How hard could it even be?

"Y/n, dear, are you ready?"

Aunt Myrtle said as she walks in my room

"Yeah, I just need a few more hours to breathe!"

I said as I sat on my bed

"Dear, I know how you don't like doing things for others but that's your mother asking for a favor"

She tells me as she sat down beside me

"I know, I'm just so embarrassed from yesterday!"

I replied back

"Oh, everybody has an embarrassing moment in their life"

She tells me again

"I guess you're right"

I said as I sighed.

I stood up and fixed my outfit.

"I'll be going now"

Aunt Myrtle said as she left my room

"Okay!"
