The mercenary carried the bloodied woman as far as he could from the source of their racing heart beats. Hunched over to keep her steady, her hands hanging over his shoulders until he finally managed to get away.

He set her down gently as he possibly could only for her to grunt softly. He was panicked, beyond belief actually. He was never so worried when it came to anyone else, but when it was the beloved Doctor he couldn't help himself.

"J-just don't move okay?" He said gruffly, his shaking hands pulling out clean white bandages that got dirtied by his bloody hands as seconds passed. She kept a hand on her stomach as she watched him struggle, medical things was never his strong suit it almost made her laugh a little. But it hurt too much to do such a thing. "Naib calm down, just relax and then try agai-."

"N-no! I've gotta get this on you now! You'll die otherwise! y- you can't die Emily!" He said those words like she was the only other living being on earth, and it made her heart swell. "How come your never so worried with the others?" She asked, managing a small chuckle and he only grew more nervous. "Y- you're different... the only one who can take care of me- Emily if you die I'll die too. No one else knows how to fix my wounds." His words were low and honest, the best anyone knew to do was bandage up an open wound which she would take care of later.

"I can't loose you... I- I love you."

His head was lowered when he said that, his hood covering his face. Emily's heart welled, but only for a second. "Y'know I never though someone would ever love me again, but...you don't." She uttered, and he stopped his attempt to aid her before he looked up. "Is that you way of rejecting me? You could just be honest-."

"If I was greedy, I would love you too. I would." She closed her eyes softly, with a pained smile. "Then why?" He wrapped her stomach, now his hands no longer shook, instead his curiosity was greater than his fear. "You don't love me, Naib." She turned her head to the side, almost limp, because she knew herself why and it killed her to think about. "How do you know- I love you, Emily!"

"That's why."

Her sweet voice made him look up, sitting down after finishing his wrap. "What?" He asked breathlessly, worn out and tired. "You're in love with Emily, not me. Not Lydia." The look he gave her almost made her laugh, she'd never seen such a confused expression before.

"What are talking about? I- I love you-! Do you want to hear me say it again??" He was desperate at this point, they might die here, and she was giving him puzzles he didn't understand. "I don't want to lie to you, but I don't want to ruin this either."

He was tense, before he just let loose and looked down in defeat. He knew nothing about her, she was always so secretive... but did that matter? It was only more reason to believe his words. He didn't need to know her, to fall in love with her! But that is exactly what she didn't like. He didn't know who he loved, and it was her fault for being dishonest to him and everyone else. He didn't know a thing.

"If we get out of here... two weeks."

Her words caught his attention and he listened intently, raising his face full of eagerness, eager to have her. "I'll tell you everything. Just give me to weeks- to enjoy that look. Before I never see it again."

He doubted that the look he gave specially to her, would ever go away. But she seemed so serious.

"Two weeks."

He sat down on one of the many beds of the infirmary. Waiting for her answers as to why she couldn't love him back. She stood at the counter, unlike his anticipation, she was ever so nervous. A part of her even wished they had died in that match a couple weeks ago, so she wouldn't have to tell him.
