Chapter 46

He continued to walk around the village to pass the time as it was roughly mid-afternoon or so judging from where the sun was in the sky. While he walked around he ran into Ino who was carrying a bouquet.

Ino: Oh Y/N. What are you doing?

Y/N: Walking around the village. You?

Ino: Delivering these flowers to a customer. 

He looked at the flower as he saw the different colors and types of flowers.

Y/N: Peonies, Sweet Pea, Lavender, and Penstemon.

Ino: Y-Yeah, that's right. Said utterly surprised. How did you know what these are?

Y/N shrugged his shoulders in response.

Y/N: A guess.

Ino: I doubt that. If you don't have anything to do, want to walk with me while I deliver these flowers?

Y/N: Sure. Lead on.

Ino leads the way as Y/N followed her. They walked for a good bit before

Ino: You know, for as long as I've known you, you're a real mystery.

Y/N: That so?

Ino: Yeah. Plus, I was really surprised when you came by our shop.

Y/N didn't say anything as he stayed quiet.

Ino: If you don't mind, what were the flowers for? My parents say that you get those every year around that time.

Y/N looked at the ground not wanting to say anything about it. However, he decided to say something but not to say exactly what they were for.

Y/N: Something special.

Ino: Special?

Y/N nodded in response. She looked at seeing that he didn't want to talk about it.

Ino: I guess it must mean something really important to you.

Y/N: It is.

They walked a bit more as they arrived at the house. Y/N waited by the tree nearby as he leaned against it arms folded. It took a few minutes as Ino delivered the flowers. Once she was done, she walked over to him as he looked up.

Y/N: All done?

Ino: Yeah. 

Y/N: Cool.

They left the house as they headed back to her family's flower shop.

Ino: How did your mission go? I heard it was rather dangerous.

Y/N: Not that bad. Overall rather interesting mission.

Ino: Really? Mind telling me a bit about it?

Y/N: Teamwork with the shinobi from the Land of Waves. Annoying folks.

Ino: Not big on talking are you?

Y/N: Nope.

Ino looked at him for a moment before she sighs.

Ino: Guess that's one thing that probably won't change.

Y/N didn't say anything as he smirked slightly. As they walked, Y/N stopped as he looked towards an alleyway.

Ino: Is something wrong, Y/N? Said stopping as well.
