Hi everyone! I'm so so glad that you're here! I'm so excited to share this book with you. Please bear with me; this is the first book I've written so I really want you to give it a chance. I've had this idea for a really long time and I'm so happy to be writing about it.

SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Why in hell was this goddamn alarm so loud? How someone can start their mornings on a pleasant note when their alarm rings through their ears is beyond me.

I tried to switch off the alarm on my phone, and after almost ten tries I was too frustrated to care so I just threw my phone across the bed hoping it'll shut itself up.

"Nat, get ready! You're going to be late," I heard my mom yell from downstairs.

Senior year, here I come.

My senior year had already started actually, its just that I decided to focus on my classes from today because my counsellor said you actually need to work to get into Oxford.

I already knew that; I just never... implemented it in my life.

Somehow, I got up and dragged myself to the bathroom to fix my monstrous morning face. My gold hair was all over my face and the mascara which I forgot to remove was smeared across. The only good things about my face were my green eyes and freckles.

Thats it, I couldn't think of anything else which I liked. I'm no supermodel unlike those fake bitches at school whose faces scream botox.

After taking a nice long shower, I fixed my hair, applied my makeup and completed the look with an oversized t-shirt and some ripped boyfriend jeans which was the only thing in any way related to a boyfriend in my life.

I loved the whole oversized theme going on because that was the only thing which separated me from the crowd wearing tight shorts and tops.

Anything to keep me separate from the rich kids.

I went down and grabbed some pancakes. I was already late so I just kissed my mom on the cheek and ran for the bus.

I could hear my mom scream, "Bye Natalie! Remember to use protection!"

Sometimes I just wish I could drown.

I went to claim my seat at the back of the bus with my bus friends so that we could give death stares to the kids in the other school buses because we, the students of Oakley High, were of course, SUPERIOR.

Actually no, but we just liked to believe that.

"Bro did you see that fucking kid show us the finger? Imma catch him someday and show him his place," Cameron said, one of the people sitting behind me.

"Yo Cam, chill out. That kids like fifteen years old. Hes probably going to complain to his mommy if you touch him."

My joke made everyone laugh. It was nice being acknowledged.

No actually, forget when I said everyone. I meant everyone except Maddox Sloan. That boy was in a different world altogether.

He always had this brooding, sexy look when he was reading his books. He always read books. If you ever saw him outside school, he had a book with him. I usually find guys who read books really attractive, but this guy was just different.

He never interacted, he never talked to anyone else outside his friend group.

His messy brown hair was all over his forehead. I've never seen someone so focused. I could see his eyes moving from one line to another. He was in his element. It was kind of relieving to see someone not give a shit about the world around them but focus on the world written in the pages of a book. I suddenly had mad respect for the guy.
"Yo Nat, why you staring at Mr. Broody? Dont tell me you got a thing for him."

"Ugh Cam, shut up. I wasnt staring at him, I was looking at the view beside him," I lied.

The bus stopped five minutes later and I headed to my lockers. I wasnt really expecting anyone to come say hi to me or catch me up on gossip like friends would, because I didnt really have any friends.

I honestly didn't even try and socialise. I was all good by myself. I always have been and always will be.

Sighing about my sad life, I made my way to my first class, Math.

My math teacher came in a few seconds later, looking like a dead egg.

Dude really needed to get laid.

"Good morning class, we're starting Binomial Theorum today. Theres going to be a test on this on Friday so you better pay attention."

Everyone in the class groaned; with good reason.

How the fuck is studying Bipolar Theory going to help me in real life? This education system is too weird for me to understand.

Remembering what my counsellor said to me about Oxford, I quickly took out my notebook and tried to pay attention to what he wrote.

The rest of the day was just me inwardly begging for the class to get over so I could eat lunch.

When lunch break finally came, I was like Flash, when I was making my way to the small park outside my school.

It wasnt really a park, it was just a nice open area where we could sit for lunch. I made my way to a tree and sat under it.
I could see the royalty sitting on the benches eating their salads and green smoothies.
How is that stuff even edible?
The royalty was basically all the rich kids with millionaire parents. Everything in life was handed to them on a silver platter.
Oh how I wish I was one of them.
I put on my earphones and started playing some Frank Ocean while chewing on my sandwich when I felt something cold running down my head.
I looked up at my forehead to see what bird pooped on my head when i saw the pink liquid on my face.
Someone just dumped a whole ass smoothie on my head.

Fuck my life.
