The door swung open and Michael was the first thing to come into sight. He smiled big, opening the door further so I could walk in.

"Good day, Hailey," he said, chuckling to himself.

"OOOOUUUH SHE'S FINALLY HERE!" A loud male voice called out behind Michael.

His face was begining to turn a light shade of pink as he just stared at me, with our eyes locked. He spun around and snapped a dirty glare at the boy behind him.

"I'm Calum, and you," he paused, taking a step closer to me. "Must be the girl Mikey hasn't shut up about."

I smiled and nodded, not sure what else to do. Michael's hand flew out to meet mine, startling me at first. I grasped around his hand as he lead us through the entry way, to the main area.

Seated on the couch was Calum, and a tall boy with blonde hair. They both had guitars on their laps as they strummed on the strings. Both boys seemed so concentrated on their music, patting their heel against the floor to the beat.

"So.." Michael lead on, "this over here, is Luke," he pointed to the blonde tall boy, he looked up, smiled and nodded before setting his concentration back to the gutiar.

"And you've already met Calum," his head shot up with a smirk on his face and smiling. He winked and went back to the strings.

"And lastly, this is Ashton," Michael directed me to the boy with brown curly hair, who was sitting quietly at the table with a beer in his hand. Ashton smiled at me, so I nervously smiled back.

"Would you like a drink or anything?" Me was trying his hardest to make me comfortable and relaxed.

"Water.... just water." my words came out quiet, barely louder than a whisper.

Michael nodded, and shuffled towards the kitchen. I went straight for the empty couch across from the two boys and sat quietly as I waited for michael to return.

"Shit.." Michael's voice carried through the room after water had splashed out of the cup and onto the floor.

"Idiot," Luke murmured under his breath, causing a great laugher from Calum and I. Michael kept walking, bringing the drink to me, with a beer in his other hand, he set my water on the table before sitting beside me.

My stomach had slightly turned, at the sinking of the couch. Michael was still a stranger, and I was already over at his house.

I chewed at my lip, and ran my fingers through my hair. My breathing picked up pace in shorter, stiffer breaths.

"Hey," Michael scooted closer to me. his hand rested on my thigh before he spoke again.

"You're okay. We aren't going to hurt you. You're safe." His eyes met mine and his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me into his chest.

Michaels fingers traced circles on my back as my breathing slowed, and I finally was back to steady, normal breaths.

"So tell me, Hailey, what do you like to do for fun?" Nervousness laced his voice as he spoke.

"Well," I paused and took a deep breath before continuing.

"I like to, uh, I like to shop, and I really like music, and I like my job, and.." I was rambling on by this point.

Michael chuckled, and pulled me in closer before smiling to himself.

"Well, I like my music, dying my hair, and I like these three goofs," he pointed to the three remainding guys, scattered throughout the room.

"And," he carried on, exaggerating the 'd'. "I like you."

A small smile crept upon my face, I left his eyes to look at my lap.

"I'm so sorry, you probably think I'm weird and creepy, oh man I screwed up!" He through his head in his hand. And whispered "shit, shit, shit," before I chuckled at his awkwardness. He was completely and utterly adorable.

"It's alright, Michael, don't worry about it." I re assured him before giving him a a small smile and let the nervous energy fade away.

The boys had left the room by now, leaving Michael and I alone.

I was now convinced that Michael was infact, safe. I barley knew the guy, but I still managed to feel like I would be kept away from the harmful world
With him.
